"I have been coming here for many years on and off. It IS a beautiful antiques store. That said, there are often two or three women there who always seem to be somewhat annoyed by customers showing up. It's like there's a girl gathering and you're not welcome jmho. During my most recent visit I spotted an item high on a wall where the price could not be seen. So I asked the two ladies politely if they could help? I explained what the item looked like, and the one gal replied " well it's not going to be cheap!"....I replied that I didn't expect it to be. She grabbed a footstool, turned the price tag around and shared the price with me. She did not ask if I would like to actually see the item? I did end up purchasing another item, but upon reflection this customer service was not only poor, it was insulting. They don't seem to have any real interest in selling anything. Again this wasn't my only experience like this here, and I had often made purchases in the past. Really SUB PAR customer service! Which is a shame as I really love the items they sell. Enough is enough and I can no longer recommend them."

"Was just in here browsing, and the young man that works here walked by myself and friend and said “if you break it you buy it just saying” in a very condescending tone while looking at a secretary desk. Never broken anything in a store in my life and we were being very gentle while looking at everything. No reason for him to be so rude. The ladies that work here however were very polite."

"They should change their posted hours. I stopped by knowing I would have 10 minutes before posted close to take a quick look to see if it was worth coming back. They were already turning off the lights and told me to come back tomorrow. With that kind of first impression, I will not be back. xxx Update: I'd like to thank Silverdale Antiques for the response. I understand the need to occasionally close early, especially as a sole proprietorship. Unfortunately, at the time of my visit I felt I was not wanted as a customer and my timing (still in posted hours) was an inconvenience. This may not have been the intention, but it was the feeling given. I am adding a star to my review because of Silverdale Antiques quick response to customer comments."
