"I went to this location today and the man inside greeted me by saying; "I was just about to leave." Instead of "Hi, How can I help you?" This was on a wednesday at 3:45. He then begrudgingly threw me a bone and asked..."Well?.... what did you want?" I replied by saying "I was interested in becoming a customer, but not any more." then I made a beeline for my car. Then...the crazy guy had the nerve to declare: "OK, NOW I am mad!" and I thought what does he have to be mad about? Then he started yelling that he only worked by appointment and was pointing to a sign on his porch. This guy is a nutcase. If you are smart you will stay away. Zero concept of customer service...like none. Here's a tip: If you hate your customers, close and lock your door---otherwise people will assume you are open for business. Epic Nutter, Thank you for responding, you supported my original post perfectly. When your door is open, people have no reason to read door signs because...........(wait for it): they think it pertains to business hours!!! Like every other business on the planet except maybe yours. Went with Longview, there are two shops that not only provide quality work, but good prices AND fabulous customer service. I also have a sneaking suspicion they can walk and chew gum minus the anger issues."

"While living in Astoria, I retained Jay for a number of projects: redesign kitchen cabinets to install a dishwasher; obtain and cut out maple butcher block counter top for new sink; repair damaged Eastlake dresser mirror; update round coffee table to shabby chic look (see website for white with green stenciled coffee table); and repair antique glass door cabinet. The work on all projects was excellent. Jay took the time and had the eye and talent to make everything look perfect. Enjoyed working with someone who takes pride in their craft as well as providing good customer service. Highly recommend him."
