"Make sure you save your receipt! I payed at the office, out of pocket, and just received a bill that didn’t reflect any payment had been made! When I talked to customer service they said I should always keep the receipts because this happens a lot to them…shouldn’t there be some attention paid to the accounting and computer input here??"
"The women that did my MRI guided biopsy were very kind and really tried to comfort me while I was in pain. The only thing I'd improve is the registration piece which showed I didn't complete paperwork when I did but also they need regular plus sized scrubs. The ones I was wearing were made for a man's body so things were hanging out."
"Appt for a bilateral shoulder MRI scheduled for 7:10A, I arrived at 7 to complete required paperwork. The office is supposed to open at 7:A but did not open until 7:12. The imaging tech called me back to get started at 7:20A but appeared to have just gotten out of bed from a rough night. He asked if my paperwork was completed and I stated that it was not. He said we need to get going, but I could complete while changing into an imaging gown. About 5 min later he asked if I was ready, and was the paperwork complete, I stated I was ready but the paperwork was not complete. He said we need to get started and escorted me to the exam room. He said this process would be lengthy due to 1) needing MRI on both shoulders, and 2) having metal attachments in both shoulders. During the MRI I was in so much pain due to the type of injury I have, that I tried to call out to the tech to ask how much time was remaining for the procedure as I was having severe pain, but did not want to manually stop the procedure if it was almost done. There was no response from numerous attempts of me calling out to the tech. I was able to hang on long enough for the MRI procedure to complete, but was in extreme pain. I stated that I had been in extreme pain for some time and could not get anyone to respond, but got no response from the tech. I met with my surgeon to go over the MRI results and he commented that the images were incorrectly labeled stating all were labeled for the rt side causing confusion for him in addition to the quality being quite poor. He said he could not see the problem clearly but feels confident in his diagnosis. There was a previous MRI of the same shoulder taken in February of this year from a different imaging provider and the images are much clearer / better quality. This provider was suggested to me from my surgeons office personnel, but I wish I would have used my previous MRI provider, better care and better imaging. Will never go back!!"
"This is for Melanie in scheduling. I needed multiple tests scheduled. Melanie took her time and made sure it would not be too taxing on me as we scheduled two tests per visit. She was very thoughtful and had a good sense of humor. You are fortunate to have her as the first person to interact with in your organization."
"My doctor referred me to RAYUS because they could see me sooner than my normal clinic at Providence. I had been there before when they had been EPIC imaging, and had a great experience. They asked me to arrive 15 minutes early for my appointment but I gave myself 20 minutes just in case. They didn’t get me checked in until 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. The receptionist was running around checking with other people about if they take my insurance or not. She was directing people what to do but also asking questions like she also was new. Then she told me my insurance is expired which is not true, but that I could pay out of pocket for the ultrasound. Since I’ve already waited three weeks for my appointment, I ask what the cost is. She says $300 and some change. Not as much as I’d expected so I said okay I’d just pay for it. I did let her know that I didn’t have much more time to wait, as it was already an hour past when my appointment should start. I noticed similar interactions between the staff and other patients, insurance problems, starting appointments late, etc. utter CHAOS. I ended up walking out after I was left sitting for another 30 minutes. Total time spent here was 2 hours and 15 minutes and I didn’t even get past the lobby. No thank you!"
