Reviews of Star Park
"Such a great park. I'm glad the Ferndale community came together to create such an awesome place."
"Kids these days are lucky to have a safe, fun place like Star Park to stay active and play. It's a huge park with plenty of close parking, easy to find and get to, located next to a big grassy area to run and play, and the playground itself is amazing. So much to see and do. The best part is the iconic Ferndale Metallica Bridge that was incorporated into the play area. Lots of fun."
"The playground is very nice and well-maintained. The bathrooms usually fairly clean. The walking trail behind the park a beautiful place BUT I don't know who needs to hear this but it is NOT an offleash dog park. Too many inconsiderate people allowing their dogs loose to charge your leashed pet and poop everywhere that their owners don't pick up despite the park providing both bags and garbage cans."
"Destination Playground alert! Star Park is a fantastic playground complete with a tot lot (designed for ages 0-5) and a big kid play area (designed for ages 5-12). TWO Playgrounds! The tot lot has a small climbing structure with slides, two giant springed ride-on frogs, a playhouse, a four-kiddo bouncer-see-saw, a giant kalimba (percussive instrument), three baby bucket swings and an inclusive ADA-friendly swing. All of these elements are manageable for kiddos who can stand, cruise and walk independently with minimal spotting from their parent or caretaker. The big kid playground has a huge climbing structure with slides, bridges, monkey bars, a play @woodscoffee shop, a pirate ship with a floor that rocks, a jumbo seated-spinner, large disc-swing for several kiddos, two tire swings, two traditional swings and and an inclusive ADA-friendly swing. - There is no shade or tree-cover at this playground, so plan on bringing sunscreen and a hat for sunny days. - Picnic Tables and a covered Picnic Shelters with a sink and prep counter - Large Parking Lot - Restrooms available, no changing tables (but plenty of benches and picnic tables to work with)"
"Awesome playground next to a big open field. Has two parts one for 5 and under and the other caters to 5 and above. Many varieties of play structures for kids to enjoy for couple hours."
