Reviews of Claire's
"They don’t even follow their own policies. I purchased two of the gold plated nose rings and got home only to realize they are too big. I never opened the package and it’s apparent I didn’t open them. The receipt states “merchandise cannot be returned if it has been open or used”. The manager didn’t even look at the packages, wouldn’t even engage in discussion with me just repeated twice “body jewelry cannot be returned”. There are no signs nor written notice in the store, on the body jewelry case or on the receipt stating this regarding body jewelry. She wouldn’t even let me explain nor engage in a discussion per the policy with me. Terrible customer service."
"I want to start this with I do not have any issue with the store or any other workers other than the manager working at the time, her name was Melissa and while shopping with my girlfriend and mom, we were looking at some sun glasses for my girlfriend. We hear someone say take those out of your bag and leave the store now. I was confused and thought we were there while someone was stealing so my nosey self looked around, and then I hear my mom say who her? And the manager responded with yeah. She was referring to my girlfriends glasses she was wearing when we walked into the store, she had taken them off to try on new glasses. So we calmly explained what the misunderstanding was and her coworker even told her she did not take anything and that it was a misunderstanding, she continues to say that either way she saw me steal a pair of earrings a week prior. Which was not possible as I live a few towns over. So I responded with thats interesting and left the store. I apologize to the other worker who has to deal with that all day, we will not be returning to this store."
"Terrible service with a terrible manager. The manager accused my son and his girlfriend of stealing at this store. It could have been ok, if she had acknowledged her error when her coworker notified her that she was wrong, it would have helped her save face. Instead, she looks like a fool when I inquired as to when. Her real life solution to accusing teens incorrectly of stealing, was to suggest "oh well, they stole from here last week". I politely informed her that this was not possible because they have not even been in the town without me (we live in another city) I even had to tell her that we should not be making a scene in front of her customers. I even said they were excited to go to the store, and they had no problems there, and now they do. She responded with "we don't like stealing". She looked very embarrassed when I reminded her we just established she was the one who was wrong and had to be corrected and failed at covering it up with further allegations. Simply, lady... just say your sorry next time. Do not bring your problems to work. Her name was Melissa. On 7/3/23"
"Came back to buy a pair of 2$ sunglasses cause i bought sunglasses the week before and I come in with the pair I buy the week before and take them off when I come in and put them in my purse and was accused of theft by a worker named Melissa. I explain I bought them the week prior and then she accuses my boyfriend of stealing earrings that I also bought him before. Wouldn't recommend this place, they will accuse you of anything."
