"I'm very happy with my skin fade and with the friendly treatment I received. They have a clean shop, with good beats in the background and ample parking outside. I will be returning for sure!"
"I have been going to Paco for a little under a year now, trying to give this guy a chance over and over again…. During this time Paco’s haircuts have been very inconsistent, sometimes I will get a really good haircut and sometimes I’ll get a really bad one. This entire time I’ve been quiet but today was the last straw. The reason that I’ve been returning to him consistently for several months is due to the fact that he is very good with the razor and never cuts me (very rarely). Most of the time he gives me a hot towel treatment in order to soften the hairs before doing a bare shave. This was very relaxing, and a great way for me to decompress while getting a haircut. This is a normal thing he typically does when cutting my hair but last night he did not, which is fine but with the hot towel treatment it’s an easy way to avoid from getting razor bumps. I knew that my haircut was the last cut of the night, so it was clear he was going home afterwards. Out of consideration I didn’t bring it up because I thought he did a pretty good job shaving me without it. But my biggest issue goes back to the inconsistency of the haircuts. Since I’ve been going to him for such a long time, this haircut in my opinion is absolutely unacceptable. Most barbers, when you visit them for that long of a duration they typically understand that you need the same haircut every single time. I figured, when I sat down in his chair he would’ve known automatically that I wanted the same type of fade and a razor lineup, just my typical style that I’ve been getting all of this time. Not only does he start putting hair dye in my beard but he gave me a BALD FADE instead. In the 6 to 7 months that I’ve been going to Paco, I’ve NEVER asked for a bald fade. He usually does a “1 - 1/2” setting on his clippers, which still gets the hair low but never bald. Going back to the hair dye, I’m not sure why he does this without me knowing? I’m not sure if it’s a tactic to cover up his own personal mistakes while cutting my hair? A few visits ago he did it without me knowing and I let it go, tried to do something different and discovered that I did not like it. So after that happened I let him know that I DO NOT need hair dye on my beard or forehead. Last night he was starting the process of dying my beard again, I had to tell him to stop. So now, for $60.00 I have to walk around for the next week or so with my entire head damn near bald all over. The front of my haircut near my forehead and beard looks fine but I am very upset that I was charged full price for his own mistake. Again, I’ve never asked for a BALD FADE, Getting a low fade and a bald fade are two completely different styles. OveralI, I think Paco is a decent guy aside from being a barber but honestly, I think he could use a few more months in barber classes because his haircuts are VERY inconsistent. There were times he would come to the shop only for me and for the most part, I appreciate that but still, I’m very unhappy."
"Affluent Barbershop in Tukwila, WA truly sets the standard for exceptional barbering and customer service. As a mom always on the go, finding time for self-care can be a challenge, but Affluent made the experience not just convenient, but utterly enjoyable. The attention to detail from the co-owner was outstanding, ensuring my comfort and satisfaction from start to finish. Their team member listened to what I wanted and delivered a professional new look that left me feeling refreshed and confident. The atmosphere is welcoming and sophisticated, perfect for anyone looking to elevate their style. Highly recommend Affluent for anyone seeking a premium and reasonable haircut experience. Just outside South center mall."
"Their hair cut, their ultimate men grooming they claim in their website is not all that. It is not what they claim to be. It is nothing but a ploy , and sweet advertising to bring, and reel customers in. They dont do anything special , or anything different from a good knowledgeable barber shop. Other than use compressed air thru an air nozzle to blow away the cut hair from clients head& neck & clothing( smart & easier way to get rid of those cut hair, than use old traditional method) Their hair cut is not worth what they charge $50.00 . In actuality it is worth less than 1/4 of what they charge. Should be about $10.00 They claim so much, but deliver very little. In reality they think they are too good, but they don't do the hair cut their clients want, and end up with a completely different hair cut. Be lucky if it is good enough . I can easily say they don't do good hair cut, and don't know how to give good hair cuts. The owner is very intelligent. His modo, and persona , and advertising, and niche, and marketing is good for certain clientele. Not for everyone one. He knows there are clients with so much money, they lost the value of their money, and the owner if he can sell his crazy ideas to those clientele, he can collect that easy money, he would rake their money $50.00 plus more $$$ for each hair cut,and from each client, if he can make them believe his ideas. He is selling snow to the Eskimo, or selling sand to the Saharan in Sahara desert He is selling an illusion, an idea. Not actuality. His service is not even worth a fraction of the prices he is charging Final conclusion. This is a rip off This is a free Capitalism market, I am happy for this shop, the workers, and the owner. He found his way to make better income ,from a service industry that did not make rich people. And all those customers that complained about how rude this shop employees, and how arrogant the employees are, and how they lack basic greeting customers , and basic welcoming into the store, or offer free smile, They were 100% correct. If you go to a regular normal Barber Shop, you get greeted, welcomed , and treated much better, and get a really good hair cut, and a good grooming for much much cheaper price. And you would feel good after for many reasons( good value, good hair cut, helped a local business, Etc...) Or even if you go to a nice Vitnamese hair salon, they will shampoo, wash, blow dry hair, massage head, scalp, and neck before hair cut, and after hair cut, plus alot more for less then half what affluent charge just for haircut. , and affluent don't do any of the grooming Vitnamese hair salons do. Also Vitnamese hair salons can do facial hair & skin care with nice warm & damp towel for little more charge all for less than what Affluent charge just for a hair cut. So what grooming affluent is claiming they are doing??? I highly don't recommend this place for hair work of any type"
"Awesome barbershop! Felt welcomed as soon as I stepped inside the clean, good smelling shop. I had grown my hair for about 4 years to donate it to a special cause. Affluent Barbershop knew exactly what to do, that was very special to me. Carlos gave me a super clean haircut, I looked a totally different person once he was done with my hair. Carlos took his time, didn't rush anything. He really does put an effort into giving his clients the best haircut he can, I can tell his passionate about his profession. I'll definitely keep coming back for my grooming!"
