"They recently started serving orange chicken and chow mein and its amazing. I got some today and it was the best orange chicken and chow mein that I've been able to find outside of bellingham, and it was super cheap! If you're looking for a quick meal for a great price GKT in Blaine/birchbay is definitely the place to go!"
"This place is ridiculous! They stop serving propane at 7pm....I guess the question is, why does 1 of the only covinence stores in birch Bay to serve propane, stop serving propane so early?... Before when I would go in there at 6:30pm to try and get it, they would still say no, I just decided to stop going there and starting using, MB mart on slater if I need propane late, they have no problems taking care of their customer, and their prices are much more reasonable then GKT Express mart too"
"We all know what's up. They are price gouging because they are next to a refinery. Prepare to pay top dollar for every item you purchase. And don't expect a smile from the cashiers."
"They I.D.'d me for a lighter. The law is tobacco products, not lighters. Are they implying the only use of a lighter is for smoking? I know for a fact you can buy a lighter without I.D. because the sheriff's told me so when I was in Search and Rescue through the sheriff's office. What if somebody had been on their way to a mission, to save somebody's life, and you hassled them for ten minutes they could have spent responding. What if a homeless person didn't have an I.D. and needed a lighter to start a fire (hypothetically) to keep warm? What if teenagers were going hiking, couldn't get a lighter there, got lost, and couldn't start a fire? After I gave my I.D. The manager tried to act like I hadn't given them my I.D. yet and tried to tell me to leave. I asked for my I.D. and the lighter the clerk had already been paid for. They made me late for work, because I had to go back to my car, and then they kept arguing with me after I already paid and showed I.D., almost refusing to give me the product I already purchased. In the past I tried to purchase gas with quarters and they told me I "came in with change too much", mind you this was maybe the third time I'd been in there, and first time I'd used change. That time I was out of gas, and barely made it to Shell where they helped me in a. friendly manner. I will not be returning, and I'd recommend going five miles down the road to avoid the hassle. Especially any EMTs, hikers, or outdoorsman."
"I had "sticker shock" after stopping for coffee and two cost me $5.50. The most I've paid for 1 is $1.59 at other stores and the mark up surprised me. I said, "Wow, that's alot more than other stores." The older female cashier, instead of being empathetic or nice in any kind of way, said, "You can go somewhere else then." My experience is they are very rude and mark up their prices. If I were you I would consider traveling a couple miles down the road, the same coffee there is $1.09 and they are always friendly."
