Reviews
"I worked here for a while and did not like it. The management is unfriendly and unapproachable. They cant even make change because they dont have a safe or change. The whole vibe is arrogance first, customers second. Go support a local supplier and pass this conglomerate up."
"Great place to come and get materials for a variety of construction needs. Specializing in roofing and other hard to find materials, this place is great for sourcing those must have items for big projects."
"Great pricing as always, front counter people were amazing. Delivery people were very professional and communicated with me as to where I wanted my material. Definitely going to continue to give them my business."
"After meeting with multiple roofing contractors, I decided on and contracted with one who came with very good reviews from neighbors. The effort of procuring materials was his. His relationship with and choice to have Allied supply materials meant, I was in a relationship with Allied. (I'll just say here that my review is not to rate product. It is share my treatment by Allied in the delivery of the materials in doing the job.) I showed up to my house the day materials were delivered and to my surprise, there was a 1' x 1' crushed edge in my driveway. I immediately contacted my contractor who explained that the Allied delivery driver must have set the rigger of his truck too close to the edge the driveway causing the damage. My contractor spoke to Allied about the issue, he said, and I was told to expect a call from Allied management about the issue. The next day I received a call from a manager at Allied who in the conversation ultimately told me Allied bare no liability in the matter and had the audacity to imply that the damage was present when the driver showed up. (Never mind my family, the contractor and myself were all witnesses otherwise.) With a new roof in the works, on my own, I was being informed that my newly damaged driveway was mine to fix too. Whatever responsibility Allied bare, equaled a dinner certificate offer. Ultimately I was asked by the manager, "What do you want, a new driveway?" as if I needed to spend my time sitting on the phone asking somebody for something they had nothing to do with - or realiatically expected a "new driveway" from them. "No" I informed the woman i was on the phone with, "I just want my driveway to look the way it did before your driver showed up!" (And, whether in a rush, not paying attention, or absentmindedly, set the down riggers on the edge of my driveway to cause the damage but, went back to their office with after pictures that did not clearly reflect the damage created. I regret that my money in roof material went to Allied, thanks to the contractors relationship with them. If you order supplies from Allied, I'd suggest being on-site to oversee the delivery-and maybe even have video handy. You may otherwise be dealing with a company happy to make you regret doing business with them for their poor style in managing you as a customer, in the event, something similar to this situation should happen; after being paid, knowing they don't have your business ro worry about for another 25-30 years. Thanks for the broken, damaged, crushed driveway Allied. You can keep your dinner certificate though. I'd still have to drive home afterward and look at the damage to my driveway, you caused, after having a $25 meal."
