"Friendly and helpful staff! Especially Adam, Clare and Dave! Great products too!"
"Used to be a nice, small town, friendly operation. Not anymore. They now nickel and dime you. It’s now way more strict, short term profit driven, and unfriendly. I am now taking my business off island. Just a few extra minutes and worth it. Better selection and lower prices elsewhere as well."
"I didn't explore the selection here; but based on what I saw this place is awesome. I was just here to drop off a Christmas tree and some yard waste. The front reception is a surprisingly serene spot to just stand and wait, a beautiful little fountain area that I didn't expect to see at the place I was going to dump yard waste. The woman at the desk was really friendly and everything was very straight forward and inexpensive. I grabbed some gloves just to have an extra pair for cheap and drove away happy."
"Top quality garden mix. I was tired of picking piles of glass and garbage out of the bagged name brand potting soil from the stores in town and decided to give tilz a shot. Year after year they never disappoint and their prices are very reasonable. I use their garden mix with a little of the fish compost mixed in my raised beds. My tomatoes and peppers love it."
"Quality soils, superb service. The compost can run a bit hot, but that's ok, they will load a mix if you ask. I usually get 1/2 yard Bainbridge Bounty and 1/2 yard fish or Cascade. The top dressing is top notch. Their shredded wood is perfect for paths and borders that aren't ornamental. Choose the bark if visual is important. No dyes in their stuff. Great selection of grit and gravel with the equipment to deliver. They also accept yard waste at a reasonable price. Family run, family operated, that's cool to boot!"
