"BFS is my go-to spot for lumber and materials for any job I'm doing in the Poulsbo/Silverdale area. The staff is helpful and efficient most of the time. It might be a little more expensive than Home Depot or Lowes but definitely worth it."

"It should be named builders last source. I would rather drive to Seattle then shop here. Not a warm environment at all any more. Feel like a major inconvenience when talking to anyone. They quote one price over the phone and you might get another in the store. I typically spend between $5k and $25k a month on supplies and a large part of it used to be at the previous lumber yard that was under the name of kingston lumber. Now, the box stores have better price, similar quality, better customer service, and faster response times. Its sad to say this was once a great business. I still remember my first order when a sales rep with the same name was shocked when i wanted 15,000 board feet of all clear hemlock. I was very taken care of and it is the opposite now."

"I'll be honest and straight forward and say I love this lumber yard, they always have what I need and everyone there is incredibly friendly and helpful. With that being said over the last 9 months I've seen 4 people I closely worked with leave abruptly. This tells me there is a management issue, or company policies affecting retention. 1 or 2 people leaving doesn't say much, but 4 people says a lot about the company. Again, I love this lumber yard. They have always been helpful and sell awesome products. I just hope that leadership here can improve their workers quality of life to encourage retention."
