"As many others have shared, I have an uncompleted order from 6 months ago. Was told by Jake (not really friendly) that my order would take approximately 3 months. After 3 months, I called and was told another 5 weeks. When that date came, I was told my screens still weren't done but that I was on the schedule for 1/25/23. I called today to get the install window only to be told my screens are still not done. When I asked how close they are to being done Jake still had no idea. When you press for answers they are rude, curt and very boorish. If you are looking for overpriced products with no accountability and enjoyed being abused, this is your outfit."
"I'll never give Truax my business again. Six months after placing my order and putting half the payment down, they still hadn't completed the job. This is after several no-shows, where they told me I was on their schedule but then they never showed up, which was a huge waste of my time each time. I told them that if they couldn't finish the job, I wasn't going to pay the balance. Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize they already had my credit card number. They had the nerve to charge me the remaining balance even though they still hadn't finished the job! And they didn't tell me they were going to charge me. I only found out weeks later when the invoice arrived in my mail. They were not only very unreliable for the first six months of dealing with them but ended up being shady and dishonest. Mainly, I'm disappointed in myself for letting them string me along for so long. I should be clear that I had positive experiences with their installers, but their sales person, Steve Levine, was a complete disaster. I tried repeatedly to work with someone else in their sales department, but they kept sending me back to Steve. I blame their management/leadership for repeatedly sending a dissatisfied customer back to an incompetent, unreliable, dishonest employee. Truax is just a sad, pathetic company. In today’s competitive environment, I doubt they’ll be able to stay in business much longer, unless they can get their act together fast. -Robert"
"Had a great experience having replacement windows measured, order, and installed by Truax. Prices were competitive after getting a couple quotes we decided to go with Truax because they have a good reputation. Took a while to get the windows but that is outside of anyone’s control, what’s important is they arrived on time based on the order and were correct. The contractor that did the work was great and friendly. Knocked out all the work in the time discussed, in the way I wanted, and did the final walk through with me before leaving. Clean up was good as well, wouldn’t have know they were there at all."
"We got 25 provia storm windows with Jake as our contact. They work well and the bid was significantly less than other competitors. They were installed when they said they would install them and the work was well done. Our house is so much warmer now! Highly recommend!"
"Surprised to see some of the reviews here as I have had nothing but good experiences over the last 10 years. Steve, and recently Dan, have both helped me find the right doors and windows for projects around my home and office. I just ordered a door today from Dan that was custom, glass, color hinges, etc, and it was less than the some of the in-stock door costs at a big box store. I ordered about six thousand dollars worth of Milgard windows(18+ windows) last year with Steve and everything was as ordered and undamaged. I'll continue to use them."
