"UPDATE: they must have been rude to multiple people recently because everything they mention in this reply is not about us. We didn’t have any backpacks, weren’t asked to check anything at the front, and certainly didn’t wish ill on anyone. We haven’t engaged the staff at all. They came up to us multiple times with rude comments and we didn’t reply to any, we just left the store. It’s quite clear from the other reviews and ratings here that the problem is the business and not vindictive visitors. Very rude staff and overpriced items (you can find almost everything online for way cheaper). I support local businesses and don’t mind paying extra, but not when they are so rude to their customers. Even when the store was empty, they seemed to do everything they can to make us uncomfortable enough to leave. Hope it wasn’t because they were racist or homophobic, but either way I’m not coming back."

"My experience at Trendy Wendy left me really dissatisfied. I’ve shopped here before whether it’s for drag or festival clothing, and I I have never had issues, but not this time. I spent nearly $100 on a Halloween costume, anticipating a product of reasonable quality given the premium price. Unfortunately, the costume began to quite literally tear at the seams within just a couple of hours of trying it on. Living just across the street, I decided to promptly address the issue with the owner. They offered to sew the costume back together while I was wearing it, a solution that unfortunately did not hold up, as the costume continued to fall apart in multiple places shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, at that point I could not return that night as they were closed. When I was able to return to the store four days later due to my work schedule, the owner cited a 'final sale' policy, placing the blame on me for not contacting her sooner and refusing any form of refund, exchange, or partial store credit. I find this situation saddening, given my previous great experiences, the price point of the product and my efforts to resolve the issue as quickly as I could. I would love to go back because they do have a great selection and it’s convenient but this is really hard to get over, as I’m out $100 for a faulty product. 3/5 stars for initially attempting to fix the issue, but I'm still irritated that the owner claims to not sell faulty product in other reviews, while I’m still stuck with unwearable product of no fault of my own. Wearing something should not mean it falls apart:("
