"Quick cut, with no care or skill in accomplishing the requested cut. Mixed up request - cut a lot shorter off the top than what was shown, and left longer on bottom than wanted. Then debated what was requested, not offering to improve the mess made when asked. Not recommended if normally wear a longer men’s hair style."
"So disappointed in my haircut. I asked for the simplest cut. Just remove 1.5 inches around the ears and the back near the neck. She said, “so you still want it over your ears” and I said, “yes”. The girl takes way more off and then uses a razor the whole way around. We never even discussed buzzing the sides. Gave one extra star for her being friendly but come on, listen to the customers requests."
"Went to Jim's today to get my son a haircut, Debbie (the owner) was affable and friendly enough. Personable and pleasant. What most struck me, was the way she rushed through the haircut. The whole time she was chatting on as she chopped away at my son's hair, she cut off almost twice as much as he asked her to. She spent a total of I want to say Maybe 15 minutes, charged $20 without hesitation plus the $5.00 tip I left, as well as the $3 fee for the ATM she has in her shop as she does not accept credit/debit cards. As I handed over the money she was already conversing with the next customer. I found her rushed, not very professional and the quality of the haircut was poor. I'm giving her two stars because she was alone and I'm thinking that might be the cause of her being rushed. Still... I saw one review where the person said that the negative reviews were mostly from out-of-towners. I am local since 2005."
"I was just passing through Port Townsend on my way to a music gig in BC and while I was waiting for the ferry boat I find this great barber shop. My experience, after walking in, noticing that it was busy but I had the time to wait. My expectations were that I could get my hair cut well before I had catch the ferry. Sometimes you just have to be patient and wait for something good. I had nice conversations with my fellow patrons and with Rhonda my barber along with a great haircut!!"
