Reviews of The Perfect Fit
"Went to this place earlier today to get my one of my favorite duffle-bag fixed. It's a pretty durable bag and the zipper was stuck beyond belief. It was not a one-person job, so I took it in earlier this afternoon. They took me in right away and it was honestly a lot to situate and they got it taken care right away. A good handful of talented people here, fixed this right in front of me and it cost me like 30 bucks (if you include like the tip that I left) and the person there was pretty nice. The older lady there was really sweet and there was a lady in the back with bluish hair that was pretty nice; she was quiet and she was working on something intensely in the shop. Definitely saved the day for me. and my favorite duffel-bag useful again."
"When picking up my uniforms I wanted to drop another too and have my name sewed on. I spent over $50. The man told me the person who gave me the price made a mistake so now I would be charged more for the same service.. I purchased Winnie the Pooh masks for my son… they didn’t fit on his face we’ll. I spent over $70 just to be told ooops actually we cost even more. Predatory. Sucks to be stationed here on this island with overly priced places like this. On base is the only affordable place for uniform alterations on Whidbey Island"
"Call this morning asking if I came after I got off work to get two pants hemmed and rushed for two day turn around. The lady told me yes it would be extra but when I get there they telling me they can’t help me. Lack of communication is lil frustrating especially when you call ahead."
"I took a well-loved duffel bag where the dog chewed one of the carrying straps in two, it was useless. In addition (not done by the dog) the duffel had two broken zippers. The Perfect Fit did just perfectly repair the zipper and the handle (had to remove both handles so that they would match). He removed the stitched handles from the bag and matched the webbing and re-attached it just like it was made by the factory. He repaired the zippers and they run very smoothly. The handle had a wrap around snapped keeper for both handles and he perfectly transferred that from the chewed up original handle and you cannot at all tell that it had ever been on another set of handles. What a great job and meticulous attention to detail. The customer service was excellent. The communication was great and it was fixed on the date promised. The pricing was reasonable for the amount of work required to repair. The shop was neat and clean and they spent a fair bit of time with me discussing my needs and his ability to achieve what I had in mind. I highly recommend."
"I first used perfect fit to bring in my bridesmaids dress and had a good experience so i felt comfortable enough to use them to hem my blazer. Unfortunately, the alterations on the blazer were done poorly. I only needed the sleeves shortened and gave them plenty of time to do so. I dropped off the blazer june 27th and told them no rush because i did not need it technically until July 13th (tomorrow). They gave me a date of July 7th so i was happy about that! They quoted me $75 dollars and i tipped $10 out of kindness. July 7th came around, no word. So i called them at 4:15pm that day to get an update. When I spoke to them they told me that they thought it wasn’t due til AUGUST 7th and they were “going” to call to confirm the date. Yet no call was made. The gentleman seemed concerned and offered to have it done by next day (July 8th) but i was trying to be kind and make him feel not rushed so he offered that Monday (July 11th). I call them as soon as i got off of work Monday (4:30pm) and it was still not done. And to be honest i don’t even think it was started. So they offered to have it ready by the next day and i expressed to them that it needed to be done ASAP because i needed the blazer for a huge interview in VIRGINIA. I fly out early Thursday morning (6am). When i arrived at 2:30pm today (July 12th) they were working on it still. Told me 20 more minutes. I try to stay humble in these types of things especially because of what i needed this garment for and because it was a $150 blazer. I picked it up at 3pm. I had a hair appt shortly after so i did not look at it prior to leaving. Which i know i should have. Also.. no one apologized for the delay or offered any type of refund for all the miscommunication. When i got home and observed the sleeves, i noticed that they were not even hemmed evenly.. so i looked on the inside of the sleeve and the stitching was done poorly and noticeably rushed. The buttons are sewed on poorly. And i was not given what they promised. Which was an identical look of what it looked like prior to the alterations. They simply folded it under and sewed it. I honestly could have just done this myself. When i put the coat on, the inside liner shows at the bottom of the sleeve. I’m really sad about this whole situation because of the fact that i trusted this business. I thought they would take one less stressor off of me prior to this interview. They definitely made me feel unappreciated as a customer."
