"Really friendly staff. They speak Russian and make a large variety of savory piroshki. They don't sell sweet piroshki though."
"the food was decent. this was my first time trying piroshki. this place came highly recommended so i’m assuming it has good piroshki but maybe i dont like it. the bread was very fluffy and crispy. the bavarian sausage seemed under seasoned. also tried the strawberry roll. it was average and slightly more sticky that i like. the service was excellent. the ladies that run this shop seem very nice. they were very helpful and nice. the atmosphere was as good as it can be given the shop is small and inside a hospital. the place seems small, not a lot of seating. but the interior was good and cozy. the place also smells like good food. overall, a good pick if you’re in the area and craving piroshki."
"Addendum: Piroshky never fails to impress. They have cabbage rolls on Mondays and straganoffs on thursdays. Everything has been above expectation so far. I could not recommend them enough! Smells so good and tastes even better!!"
"This is so authentic place! Reminded me my childhood food!!!! I was in the area at some medical building near by and decided to stop by. This time they had my favorite salmon & cream cheese! Absolutely delicious!!! I ask if napoleon was fresh and lady assured me it’s very fresh and good they bake everything there daily!!! Dang, this cake was like in my childhood so fresh and yummy!!! This location is much better that we used to have on 3rd and also pike market ( they don’t have lunch special or cakes) also that one always full of tourists. Last time I went there salmon piroshky had so little filling in it. This place on Madison it’s much much better than pike place! I live on 2nd and pine and I am willing to go all the way uphill for this nice food!!! Спасибо, за вкусную еду!!!!"
"I visited Piroshki on a Friday morning looking forward to some Russian food. The store lives up to their name with a large selection of piroshki, but they also have a large selection of cakes and pastries as well. The smoked salmon and beef and cabbage piroshki were delicious. Probably some of the best I've ever had. The smoked salmon piroshki was especially memorable because of it's great balance of smoked salmon and cream cheese and how it wasn't salty. Most smoked salmon piroshki I have had have been very salty. I also ordered the Kiev cake, Prague cake, strudel, and apple cake. Each were delicious in their own ways. I am looking forward to returning when I am up on First Hill. I meant to order borscht and hope to get some next time I visit."
