"My friend and I rented e-bikes from Meat Machine and it was our first time riding e-bikes so we were a little nervous, but it was super easy to get used to and now we never want to go back to riding our regular bikes. These guys were friendly, had a nice selection of e-bikes, and were very helpful getting us set up and answering any questions we had. The bikes came with a rack and a bag making it easy to store some essentials and a water bottle.They also gave us a phone case/bike mount which made it easier to follow directions. We rode all over the island and were out for hours and didn't even go through half a battery. Easy pick-up/drop-off location right in downtown Friday Harbor, and easy to lock up when making stops. Can't recommend this shop enough and will definitely be back."

"We rented some e-bikes from meat machine cycles while staying on San Juan. We arrived at 8:00 and the staff quickly got a setup with our bikes and explanation of how to use them. The bikes came with a rack and a bag. That made it very convenient for us to stash food, drinks, and other supplies for the day ahead of us. We quickly boarded the ferry and road just around 35 mi on Lopez Island. The bikes were in great condition and even though that's a pretty good distance they were so easy to pedal. At the end of the day the battery still had half of its life. The ferry did get back after 5:00 p.m. when they close and we were instructed to lock the bikes up to the railing just outside the shop. Overall the condition of the bikes and just how much fun they are with the service provided allowed us to have a terrific experience on our vacation. I believe the bikes were just under $60 each for the day."

"Most eBike rentals are less than amazing, with staff that aren’t really bike people and cheap Chinese eBikes (that tend to be lacking in maintenance). This was not the case with Meat Machine. For-real, name brand Cannonade bikes, well maintained and each came with a rack and bag, so it was super easy to stow and carry your essentials for the day. Staff was extremely friendly and provided great advice for where to pedal and what to see on the island, including advice on which routes to avoid and which to prioritize. I really wish all bike rental places could be as outstanding as Meat Machine. Highly recommended!!"

"We (1 racing cyclist and 1 recreational cyclist) rented 2 Awesome Road bikes for three days. Staff gave us excellent tips for where to ride for beautiful scenery and empty beaches on San Juan and Lopez. Super friendly staff, and very accommodating when our plans changed slightly. A couple blocks away from ferry dock. Light weight and well maintained road bikes. They also rent e-bikes if you need extra energy on hills, and hybrid bikes. We have already recommended Meat Machines to our friends in Seattle for when they visit the San Juan Islands."
