"I can only speak to my own experience, but I am glad I purchased a "Maximum Plan" from Principal Auto Care when buying a used vehicle. I knew I wanted an extended warranty for peace of mind with this particular vehicle, but was concerned about whether I would actually be able to use it or not if/when needed. When that time came, I reviewed my policy with Principal and determined that the repairs should definitely be covered under the warranty plan I selected and basically prepared to fight over coverage. It turned out that there was, fortunately, no need to do that since Principal approved the repairs the same day my mechanic called and requested authorization. Principal was just as quick to approve necessary changes to my mechanic's estimate that arose. Both my mechanic and the dealer I purchased the vehicle from have favorable opinions of Principal. My mechanic appreciated Principal's fast response time and the dealer told me claims with it would be hassle free. I experienced the same when I called Principal after the repairs were completed and was immediately connected with an employee named Omar who was able to break down the amount of parts/labor covered under the warranty at my request. I am satisfied (and relieved) that when the time came I got the coverage I paid for and am impressed with how little hassle was involved."

They are easy to work with, the claim process is simple, they have some of the most comprehensive warranty’s available, often times covering more than the manufacturers comparable policy does and they even reimburse the dealer at your retail door rates. They are truly an A+ company to do business with."

"I was wondering what kind of experiences people had with this company and considering the reviews are few and far between, it only confirms my suspicions. this company will scam you and take full advantage of your kindness. i bought a power train plan for my car, when something went wrong in the power train they refused to pay it, not a single cent by pointing the blame at me. i hadn’t even had the car for a year, drove less than 5k miles on it so i asked for a refund. it was over a month before i saw any response only to learn they had no record of it yet i had the cancellation request physically in my hands!! add TWO MORE weeks and i still have not been returned my money nor any update. this is my life they’re messing with here, do not make the mistake of letting them get you too."
