"Would not recommend cleanings. My hygienist was heavier-handed in the cleaning and my mouth was bleeding the entire time (I do not have unhealthy gums so it is not relating to that). My mouth is/was sore for at least a day following the cleaning. Additionally, I had a small fray in my permanent metal retainer, which the hygienist managed to tear through completely during the cleaning. Dr. Deca said she would smooth the fray so it didnt poke my mouth, which I didnt understand would mean she was going to cut out the middle piece of metal entirely from the retainer. I was left with a split retainer, with no metal in the middle portion. Now, instead of being able to get it repaired at my orthodontist, because the metal was removed, I now need to pay for it to be removed, and then pay again for a new retainer. Really not too happy about this. That said, Dr.Deca has a nice bedside manner and is patient and thorough otherwise for fillings."
