"Honest A1 on Stark is not so honest they sit up there and told me that I needed rotors for my brakes and I didn't even need no brakes or a rotor after I took it to another mechanic they lied I don't trust them they're not so honest. They wanted to charge me $500 to fix the brakes and the rotor that did not need."
"Really happy they're open again after the rebuild! This has been my place for years. Good prices, nice customer service, I've always left a happy customer. Had to have my car towed recently to them because my tire was making a horrible sound I thought was the break pad change warning.Turns out it was just a rock stuck somewhere in the tire. They took it out and didn't charge me for anything. That's just decent. Will continue to be a return customer."
"Lives up to their name. Daughter's car has been running with very dirty transmission fluid for several weeks. She called two shops and chose Honest-1. She received a speedy service appointment, and they were very expedient on service day. This given that they had to fill, run, and drain the transmission twice before the fluid stayed clear. Their charges for the service were extremely reasonable, especially given three separate fills of fluid before they released the car. They could have taken advantage of a young woman and charged substantially more for the service, happily they didn't, and earned a repeat customer. Thank you, gentlemen. This was a very good experience. (And it's great to see this shop back in business after being closed for several months for what appears to have been a fire in the building.)"
"Had my own parts, they tried charging me $270 for the labor of a transmission oil change. Walked out, went to K&W where I got it done for $80. Take your car somewhere else."
"I got their Groupon for the oil changes, they are by far the cheapest but after a year I am having a hard time trusting them. When I first went in my Airbag light came on when I picked it up, I showed them and they said "we don't touch that", they tried to diagnose it, not cuz it happened on their watch, but because I had a freebie on my groupon. They couldn't figure it out and I paid $50 to have it diagnosed elsewhere- basically it isn't worth investigating further so still broken- it is an old vehicle so Maybe it was a coincidence? I reluctantly came back and on my 4th & last Oil Change there was oil on the door, seat, and shift lever. Also I noticed a metal ring had fallen off my ignition housing and been placed on the steering column adjust lever (see pictures). I showed them and first response is- "we don't touch that". They asked around and the technician didn't remember. The ignition ring wasn't a big deal but that they wouldn't admit to it makes me think they either intentionally or delinquently mess with the cars- or maybe just certain customers. The savings isn't worth wondering what else they "don't touch" :( If you do go there, I suggest you wait- It seems like the sketchy stuff happened when I let them know I was going to go on an errands."
