Reviews
"This review is for the lab only. The center itself had a fairly long wait before I got an appointment, and then I had to go in and “get established” as a patient before they provided any services I requested. Also, the man who answered the phone for x-rays was quite rude. However, the woman who answered the phone at the lab was friendly and pleasant. I was the second person in line and waited only a few minutes. The registration process and blood draw took no time. Normally it’s hard for the phlebotomist to find a vein, but this one had no trouble at all and I barely felt it. After such poor past experiences with the medical field, I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and care here!"
"This is regarding the receptionist of Hannah Heinonen. My mother had to change doctors and reestablish care with a new doctor. She had to switch from the medical center at Summit Pacific (which was wonderful) due to some changes in insurance. Before she could even meet the doctor, the receptionist called and interrogated her about what she needed to be seen for. Not the typical why are you needing to be seen questions that are usually asked. But in a tone of Why do you even need to come here? Before she was even seen, they told her that they would not be prescribing her certain types of medication, and she had not even gone to the doctor yet. My mother is not an addict, but even if she was, it is not the job of a receptionist to assess her prescription needs. My mother is getting older and has significant trouble with her bladder and digestion. She needs to have a regular primary care doctor. The woman she talked to was not a nurse or doctor, she had no business assessing what medications were needed and which were not."
"I didn't even realize I had seen a doctor when I was at this hospital. They treat you in triage, which is the same place you're seen from the time you get there to discharge. When I told the nurse I didn't realize there was a lack of health care here, he just stated "I hear that all day every day." This is an old, filthy hospital. When I was kept there overnight the nurses were immature & rude, they made fun of me. The doctor was OK, when I was admitted & I actually got a room. If you go there for an emergency, you are not likely to be seen in a private room. I made the biggest mistake of my life moving here...& because I moved here with my care giver & he bought a house here, I may end up dying here, quickly, before we can move. I have complicated health issues & there is a pathetically sad lack of health care in all of Gray's Harbor County!"
"Doctor 30 minutes late to appointment which has been pretty typical of all the harbor health services (average wait between 30 minutes and an hour)"
"This was the least confidence inspiring experience I have ever had at a hospital. Went to the emergency room for a broken rib. I was the only person there but it still took three hours. The ER doctor(Singh) saw me for less than 30 seconds total and said the xrays showed no problems. A month later the rib is still painful, has a protrusion and changes direction after. Never showed me the x rays, I don't think he even looked at them."
