"In 2021, my insurance was billed for an Invisalign consultation under a pre-orthodontic visit, despite it being conducted during a dental appointment and offered/advertised as free on their website. I was never billed directly, so I was unaware of this charge to my insurance. Upon inquiry, the office claimed to have no records of the transaction, despite the insurance having invoices indicating otherwise, which were paid by my insurance. Now, in 2024, my insurance has issued a payment request. I hope they will reimburse me for what should never have been charged, but if not, I was told I need to file an appeal with the American Dental Association."
