Reviews of Intoxalock Ignition Interlock
"I've had to change ignition lock services from Draeger (the best place to go by the way if you dont want your battery destroyed and you want quick services), I'm moving to Colorado and unfortunately Draeger does not service in that state. The service was great in the beginning, besides the equipment not being there at the time of my installation. I left my car overnight which they kept save in there garage. I came to pick up my vehicle and the equipment looks like its from the 70s. The only cool part is that is shows your BA lvl. I was disappointed with the product but felt hey, I'm the one that got myself into this mess, it is what it is. The next day I went to lunch. Equipment was fine. Being experienced with equipment like this I had no issue. Until the equipment alarm went off randomly at work where I had to blow for no reason without even starting my car. This happened 4 different times, I call the company stated it was malfunctioning and needed it removed or fixed. The intoxalock customer service was very professional and helpful trying to find an appointment for me. The place where I got it installed (car toys in silverdale) had an appt until 1pm the next day, did not even try to fit me in when the equipment was obviously malfunctioning. The place that installed it should fix the issue right? When I went home, the same thing happened, the horn and alarm went off, 4 different times for absolutely no reason. I had it removed, still had to pay for the installation and the removal. How is this fair? I called to explain the situation and there is absolutely no way they would give me a refund with the equipment that was malfunctioning. Yes, I made a mistake in 2014, just because I'm obligated to have a ignition interlock does not mean I don't deserve to be treated like a human being. Having a DUI is expensive alone, but having to pay the extra cost for equipment that didn't work properly? If you have to have a blow and go. Don't EVER go here. Draeger or even SmartStart. They don't use your battery for the installation and won't kill your battery. Plus, you'll get better equipment this actually updated"
"So far so good...if the device were a bit smaller it would be nice, however, it’s easy to use and seems very reliable."
"Just signed up with Intoxalock after switching from Smart Start (horrible). I’ve found their customer service excellent in trying to provide best service. Their device is easier to use and it feels great knowing I won’t have to continuously struggle with unwarranted towing fees due to a faulty device."
"It was easy to book the service. Convenient because the install job was done less than a mile from my house. It was cheaper than any other ignition interlock offered. Plus they worked very well with my voucher from department of licensing because I am on a limited budget due to SSDI. It cost me $15 at time of install. And my voucher will cover the cost every month. I have other friends that are paying $120 a month. So being that the voucher only covered $90 a month I was thinking I would have to pay $30 but with intoxalock my voucher covers the monthly payments."
