"If you're staying in Portland, this is a perfect small day trip up the Columbia River Valley. Stop at Multnomah Falls on the way up then keep on your way to the bridge. There's a parking lot right next to the bridge exit you can park in to take some pictures before heading up and over the bridge into Washington state then back to Portland with a great hour long scenic drive just like the way up."
"This bridge let's you capture some amazing views! I'm not a huge fan of heights, so it was a quick walk to snap pics and get back off. Visitors: there is NOT a pedestrian lane or sidewalk. You are walking on the bridge with cars going both ways, plan your visit in the very early morning to avoid excess traffic."
"Bonkers! You can (and should!) walk across the bridge as a pedestrian. Don't worry, "the cars are good about going around you" and the mesh metal is trippy. NOT for those scared of heights. Beautiful views."
"Nice little town center of town by the post office they have a public bathroom for everybody to be able to use they host fun runs from time to time the Indians sell fresh salmon and fresh fruit they have a couple little coffee shops but the best one I found while I was in that town was a little Shell station. They have several little motels and hotels along the way even on the outskirts of town the Pacific Crest trail cuts right through their town at one of the public restrooms actually has a shower for hikers to be able to use as they do they're hiking down the Pacific Crest trail again it's right next to the post."
"Nice looking bridge with a significant history! There are different viewpoints around the area to look at the bridge from a different point of view! There's a toll if you cross the bridge by car and it looks pretty narrow if you're going to cross as a pedestrian. Overall a nice site to see on a beautiful weather!"
