"The wife has a 2006 beetle that doesn't need work often, but when it does, we wanted to take it to someone who really knows VW vehicles inside and out. We have been there twice so far and have been happy both times. The first time was for overdue maintenance and a loose/dragging plate under the car. We had to wait a few days for the appointment but the service was excellent and Dean explained everything that needed to be done and showed us the replaced parts after. The second time was this week. Check engine light had come on and the car was running rough. We called Friday and they offered to let us bring it in Monday. We couldn't make it that day so they let us bring it in Tuesday instead. The trouble was the PCV valve but, with the 2.5L 5 cylinder engine, apparently the PCV kits just don't cut it and you really should replace the whole valve cover, so we ended up having the valve cover replaced. We took it in yesterday and got it back today. The wife said it drove home great. The prices are not cheap but I assume you knew what you were getting into when you bought a VW. Reliable as hell but when you need them repaired, it is going to cost. And I would rather give the money to a mechanic with a small shop than a dealership any day of the week. We will continue going to D&M when the bug needs work and maintenance."
