Reviews of Hadlock Dental Center
"I've been coming here for 2 years. I love the staff, they are always friendly and they care about their patients. Ryan is the dentist and he great. I am always taken care of and he makes sure you are all set and comfortable before and after any procedure."
"the people here seem nice. The floor here is not sturdy though... which means when the dental assistant walks away to snap the x-ray, the x-ray generator moves around quite a lot... enough to make for very blurry x-rays which will be used as the basis for care. I was surprised to be offered a few pictures of my issue areas... if they have this convenient digital camera wand, why can't it be used to take pictures of the whole mouth? I have had dentists do this as part of a standard initial exam and it is very helpful, quick and easy, and pairs nicely with the x-ray imaging. the process felt rushed. the dentist did not notice a chipped front tooth and in the rush, I forgot to mention it. they stopped accepting my insurance a couple weeks before my initial visit (which had been scheduled for about 7 months), assumedly because the contract was not paying enough... which I get, but I get a sense of irony in underperforming and demanding more pay."
"I am a dental coward and have very sensitive teeth so I am always aphrenrsive when entering a dental practice new to me. I am so pleased with the care I received from Dr. Giles and his team at Hadlock Dental Center. My exam was unhurried, informative, shame free, and compassionate. Treatment options were reviewed with me in a way I understood, and my insurance coverage was explained so I knew what would and would not be covered and approximately how much I would need to pay out of pocket. I was set up with a dental cleaning the following week and I felt comfortable and at ease through the entire process, with my hygienist, taking extra time to make things comfortable for me. My follow up appointments were scheduled right away, and though I am still a dental coward, I feel confident in trusting Dr. Giles and his team with my dental needs to come."
"I've been going to this dentist since I was a kid because it was the only one at the time that took my insurance in my area. I've had a few interactions with the dentist that were less than ideal. I went in recently because I thought I had an abscess on a broken tooth and the dental assistant I had was amazing, she talked and joked with me to help ease my anxiety since I have dental anxiety in my chart. Which means I have to be hurting pretty bad to go to the dentist. After he did an examination and xray of the area, he didn't believe I had an infected tooth, which I'm very happy about because I did not want to deal with all that right now. But I'm still in a lot of pain and I told him the pain kept me up the entire night before the appointment. What is also in my chart is chronic migraines, so you can imagine how mouth pain can easily trigger one of those. On top of all that, over the counter pain meds don't work as well as they would for people who don't have some sort of chronic pain. He told me that there wasn't anything obvious that could be causing that pain and used the language I'm very familiar with when a doctor doesn't believe me when I'm telling them something is hurting me. In the end, I left with a referral to a specialist and in more pain than I came in with. I'm a young, female presenting person that, if I have any dental pain, causes a migraine that last for days or even weeks, I've explained this many times to him over the course of seeing him. So has my mother. His staff was the reason I kept going back because they're always so understanding and they made the experience better but at this point I'm leaving the clinic in more pain than I came in with and I can't keep doing that. I'm really going to miss his staff and how they always took care of me, but there has been too much the dentist has said and done that ended in me feeling more self conscious of my teeth or hurting. I'm hoping that I was the only one who had a negative experience with this dentist and he's great with all his patients, but with how long he's been making me feel like this, I doubt it."
"I took my young boy in for an emergency visit. We had no appointment, but the office was able to fit us in. All of the staff were great with my son, and the dentist in particular was wonderful with him. He was able to connect with my son and help him feel comfortable in the dentist's chair, even though he was in pain."
