"l love it. I use everytime to cross the Colombia river from Vancouver, WA to Astoria Oregon. For 6 bucks (car), you have a few minutes of peace."

"Fast friendly staff. Engaging and professional crew, if you drive your challenger on the ferry , be careful. They won't be kind to you if you need it fixed. They scrape the loading gate and tear the bolts off your undercarriage. The city of Astoria transportation folks are very rude to people asking for help to get your car fixed. They didn't help me at all."

"We got on Oscar B at Westport, Oregon, going to Puget Island. We waited about 20 minutes for the Ferry to arrive. The Oscar B River ferry operates on the Columbia between Longview/Rainier and Astoria."

"A sweet and unexpected surprise, this basic little car ferry from the Washington side of the Columbia river to Oregon and back again. It runs every hour throughout the day, on the hour from Washington and 15 after the hour from Oregon. At only $6 for your car and all the passengers it can hold or $2 to walk on, it's a nice, inexpensive treat. A few notes and warnings: 1. There is no shelter and no bathrooms. It's only an 11 minute ride, but there's not much on either side as far as facilities go, either (although when I went there was a porta-potty on the Oregon side). 2. If you're walking on, take into consideration that it can be pretty cold, depending on when you go. Plan accordingly. 3. There's not much within walking distance on either side. 4. Payment is cash or check only and exact change is much appreciated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Enjoy the ride!"
