"I am posting this honest review in response to a marketing email sent from Pacific Ave Dental requesting a nomination for 'Best of Kitsap' as part of annual voting. While I cannot provide a vote, I can provide feedback. This review is for prophylaxis cleaning only as it is the only service I have required. In the past two decades I have only changed dentists a couple times due to moves or the provider dropping my insurance. I have only been with PAD for two cleanings, but I have found they don't live up to my expectations from past experience in a couple ways. A disclaimer, this is nothing against the hygienists who have been pleasant and attentive. 1. Each cleaning I was surprised how little cleaning was done. I inquired about it and was told that there is a new school of thought to let the tooth remain in a more natural state. I'm no expert, but it seems I prefer having my teeth cleaner. 2. Some of my interactions with the front desk have left me feeling like they viewed me as a nuisance. 3. This is not as significant an issue as the first two. One thing I have appreciated with past dentists is face time. I've gotten to have more of a relationship even though I only see them twice a year. This isn't a requirement for good dentistry, but it isn't the same standard I had previously and felt more transactional. And to be clear, Dr. Hablutzel was polite and to the point, so for many that is 5 star service. For me though, the above factors don't equate to either a horrible experience, or a good one... hence the 3 stars."

"I've had 2 visits with Pacific Dental. Both visits were excellent. The whole staff from the appointment receptionists, dental assistance, and Dr Hablutzel. They're all very professional and caring, the dental assistant Ms Heidi, I met her on my first visit. Before doing any procedure we had conversation, which gave me time to try to relax. Shes very understanding about my fear of being in a dentist office. Today was no different everybody very very kind Dr Hablutzel is very gentle he explained everything he was doing and why. Ms Cristina, listened to my stories after my procedure. NO TEARS!!"

"I've been going to Pacific Avenue Dental for about 2 years now. I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment. When I arrive, the staff is always ready with a smile, and know who I am. The great service doesn't end there. I always am made to feel comfortable in the chair. They always explain everything to me, so I understand. They also give me great tips on how to improve my dental health. Dr. Hablutzel is also very friendly. I've had nothing but great experiences from this team. I'd recommend anyone."
