Reviews of Small to Tall Pediatric Dentistry
"Great experience all around and the staff is so helpful and sweet to toddlers. They sent out a card after the visit thanking us and even added some stickers for my daughter. If your child needs a pediatric dentist, this is the best one you'll find."
"I am extremely grateful for Small to Tall and wanted to especially thank Dr. Rosaleen Shavron. My two oldest children have issues where their teeth formed in such a way that they are prone to root canals. They were able to spot one for my daughter and my son- they were not in pain but a blister had formed on their gums indicating an infection. When this occured the second time, I was distraught. Dr. Shavron went above and beyond to help ease my anxieties- she sought recommendations for an endodontist who would be in network with our insurance, she also did preventive measures on my son's other tooth to try so that it wouldn't happen again. She also called the endodontist to make sure that despite their busy schedule, they could treat my son soon. Overall, despite a hard situation, she showed much compassion and knowledge to deal with this. I am so grateful for her care, she is an incredible doctor. *** Just one note, my youngest child liked Small to Tall but hated their horizontal benches so we regretfully had to find another dentist for him. But every time he comes to Small to Tall with his older siblings, he asks to return."
"NOT EVEN AN OUNCE OF PRIVACY I've been going to this place for pretty much as long as I can remember. The experience has remained the exact same each and every time. Despite claiming to be for all ages under 18, staff perpetually treat you like a small child, and there is NO PRIVACY. I can't emphasize this enough, there is 0 PRIVACY for you or your children. Everything is out in the open, the halls echo, and there aren't even screen dividers between each dental chair. you can just look over and see the person next to you getting their teeth done. This makes it extremely hard to communicate with the staff, as hygiene, specifically dental hygiene, is a very embarrassing and hard subject to talk about. I suffer with severe depression and anxiety, and i have never ONCE been able to communicate with staff. The only rooms with door are the offices/procedure rooms (once you get past the reception area) Recently I heard that I had been switched over to a different dental clinic, and I can't tell you the amount of relief I felt knowing I wouldn't have to go there again, and shamefully lie to the staff about my hygiene because of the lack of privacy. I feel like this should be breaking some kind of patient privacy rule, cause again, everything is out in the open. the only thing stopping you from hearing other patients discuss their health is the extremely quiet music and sound of dental machinery. I wouldn't send anyone above the age of 5 here. Actually, if you value children's privacy (which you really should) I wouldn't send anyone here. Please re-consider your option ESPECIALLY if your child has depression, anxiety, autism, etc. Its a miserable experience to silently suffer and lie to people you know are supposed to be helping you about your own hygiene. Genuinely cannot emphasize this enough, THERE IS NO PRIVACY."
"When my 3 year old son had a terrible fall that left him with 4 missing teeth and a fifth that was dislocated, we needed immediate help. Small to Tall’s Dr. Ruder was the only dentist in the county who answered the phone after-hours and assured us that he would make the time to help us. Within 24 hours, Dr. Ruder had provided us with complete care for our son, including an emergency tooth removal. The gentle soothing strategies he used made my son feel at ease, including letting him choose a movie to watch while the procedure was being done. I highly recommend this dentistry office because they really make kids feel at ease with toys, movies, and even a tree house in the lobby! Thank you, staff of Small to Tall for helping us in our time of need!"
"My daughter has a complex medical diagnosis that had resulted in multiple doctors visits and procedures since birth. I delayed her first dental visit until 3 years old. The team at Small to Tall was excellent from start to finish. They made the experience positive for a child who has been overstimulated by doctors. She had a private room to explore and learn about the new equipment and process of a dental cleaning/visit. They were patient, kind, inclusive and positive. I will gladly return to continue to provide my daughter with a positive dental experience! Thank you"
