"TLDR: I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning a week out and when I got there they said they couldn’t do it and told me I was wrong about being told I was getting a cleaning. They were rude and inconsiderate and absolutely would not accept that they might have made a mistake. If you have anxiety about the dentist, definitely don’t go here. I called a week prior to set an appointment. I explained to Benjamin that I need all my teeth looked at but I have one in the back that needs extra attention. He said “so you need a cleaning” I said “if that’s what you say I need, then yes.” I showed up on my appointment day and everyone was very nice until I informed them I was there for a cleaning. Both nurses who walked me to my exam room began getting defensive and telling me that’s not possible as they are booked for cleanings until September. I tried to explain that I know what I was told but they absolutely would not hear it and kept telling me I was wrong. She went on to explain, rather condescendingly, that they are not accepting new patients right now (I am a new patient) unless they have a real problem needing dealt with. Of course I had no way of knowing that because I wasn’t told, but somehow, judging by her tone, that was on me to know. The doctor then came in to see me and looked at my one tooth with a problem that I mentioned at the top. All he did was tell me it needs to be pulled or have a root canal. I then explained to him that I had already assumed that, but I am here for a cleaning. I explained that the nurses were telling me that was impossible so I basically came in for no reason. All he could do was shrug. Which I guess its not really on him is it? He just does what’s on the schedule. I’m so glad I didn’t have to take a day off work just to have them waste my time. I will also likely have my insurance billed for an appointment in which they didn’t do what I was scheduled for. They didn’t do anything at all. As I was leaving, Benjamin, the secretary that began the entire miscommunication, asked me if I was all good. I explained to him and he, just like the two nurses, began getting very defensive and adamantly telling me I was wrong. So lovely of all of them to just get angry and tell me I’m wrong when it was a simple mistake. I told him I don’t know where all the attitude is coming from everyone. He then back pedaled and began acting cordial, showing me his appointment book and how it said “toothache” as if that proves anything. I’m exasperated and surprised at the lack of respect. This experience honestly makes me want to start recording important phone calls. PS, if the workers from Ocean Shores Dental Clinic read this, please know that the dentist is already an awful place to go for some people. When you act rude and don’t even TRY to understand or remedy the issue, you could be causing a lot more damage than you know. Please just don’t treat people this way ☹️"
"Dr. Morgan is one of the best dentists I’ve had. He’s polite and friendly, as well as his staff. He gives dental suggestions to suit a budget, and he knows how to numb a tooth. I’m grateful we have a master dentist in Ocean Shores!"
"On vacation I had a dental emergency, so I called Ocean Shores Dental Clinic. They were very polite and professional. They got me right in and my problem was taken care of in less than 1 hour. Dr Morgan is the best dentist I have visited in my 60 years. I would recommend this clinic to everyone."
"I went to this dentist as a young adult and college student. Always pleasant staff, experienced hygienists, and great care. After living out of the area I hadn't gone for many years and was nervous about my visit for cleaning. I was pleased to have the same great service and care and fortunately on my way out the door I scheduled a 6 month follow up for cleaning and NOT a schedule for any extensive work:) Thanks!"
"The office staff is really nice . The dentist is OK . He made me feel bad about myself he first time I met him. I need dentures and the denturist seemed great at first. During impressions he sliced my tongue open. I didn't see how bad it was until I got home. After I received my dentures they did not fit or look right. I went in for a soft reline, adjustments, and to talk to him about fixing them. He refused to fix them unless I paid almost 900 dollars. He did the soft reline and ended up getting it all over the denture and did nothing to get it off. He just said there you go have a good day. MY fiance asked him if he would b happy wearing my denture if it was his and his jaw kinda fell open and he stuttered. HE COULDN'T ANSWER HIM. I do not recommend this office at All . I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but thI one back fired big time."
