"My teenage daughter had been having a tooth ache for a couple days so I took her in and they told me that she was going to need an immediate root canal or they might have to pull the tooth. The way they delivered the diagnosis was a little cold and they completely freaked my daughter out. They put her on an antibiotic and when I asked if we needed to wait for her to complete the antibiotics before scheduling the root canal I was told I shouldn’t wait because it was that critical of a situation and then I was handed an estimate. I felt uncomfortable with how rushed everything was so I decided to get a second opinion. My second opinion was completely different and they recommended a filling. This was about 3 months ago and my daughter hasn’t had any issues with her tooth since getting her filling. Needless to say I was not impressed with the care at this establishment and would not recommend them."

"I didn't get a chance to see these dentists. I am insured through my work so for having this new plan, I needed to look for a dentist in the network. I went to their office today, walked in, sat down, I was the only customer in the waiting area, so I sat there quietly for five minutes. There were two receptionists sitting behind glass, one was facing the entrance, one wasn't, but I was sure both of them saw me walking in, however, no one greeted me, or made eye contact, no nothing. Also none of them was on the phone, well, they looked busy, I was sure of that, so I waited patiently, five minutes past, then I walked up to the person facing the entrance, I said, I might be a potential new patient, I wanted to register and make an appointment for routine cleaning. She looked up at me with a face that let you know she had great difficulty, she asked me, you mean like teeth routine cleaning? (of course it was, sweetheart), she continued: the next availability will be in October, (11 months away). I felt from her facial expression, that said they didn't have a space for me, go away. Fine, I said not to worry about it, it's ok, so I turned around and left, on the way out, I paused, and wanted to say to them, hey, at least to say hi! Terrible customer service, I can't comment on their dental work. The problem I had with them, it's ok if you can't accommodate in a timely manner, wait 11 months for a routine cleaning, but asked me if it was for teeth? And the way she said it was like please go away.They can't provide amazing dental work because their receptionists were horrible."

"Great service, I used a coupon from ValPak the first visit that saved me over $100. The procedures are all less expensive than the other dentists in this area. The one-visit replacement crown worked out well. They do take dental plans, but will give a 10% discount for cash/check customers on the day of visit. Their new office building is comfortable, clean and modern, both interior and exterior, on a quiet side street and is nicely landscaped, with a spacious parking lot in front and rear. Easy access to the nearby 101 freeway and not far from downtown. I have been their patient for about 5 years and at times Dr. Despain has resolved my problem over the phone. They have several offices, one in Port Townsend. Friendly and efficient, with tv's at each station. The Sequim office is closed on Fridays."

"The single star is for my personal preference, but for conditions generally it fits into the 2-3 range. The dentist was competent, but the business overall is a rather impersonal dental factory, with a number of cubicles in which lower-level, budget-paid, not-highly-educated young ladies do the prep work, thus allowing the dentist to hustle from patient to patient for max dollar volume. The emphasis is more on money making, not personal service. No need to learn the dentist's name. If you're looking for a smaller, more traditional dental practice, you won't find it here. The front office staff is friendly and smiles a lot, but leans to making sure going in that they set you up with multiple recommended procedures, of course for your own good, and not lastly for the $$$. If you're not particular, you''ll do okay with these folks; but it's not for me."

"If you notice the $12 fee on your bill that says "unspecified preventive procedure, by report" that charge is for staff PPE. I had 3 visits and at each visit I had to pay the $12 fee for THEIR PPE. I took the time to call 8 other clinics in the area, and only one other dentist was charging patients for PPE though his fee was $5. One of the women who was working at the front desk when she explained the charge, was herself wearing a mask with her nose hanging out over the top. So this office charges you a fee for their PPE, but they don't even know how to wear it properly? Not impressed. Also not impressed with the dentist whoever he was, (bald guy) and his blonde assistant who put my filings in. They had a personal conversation across me while they were working on my teeth like I was a car engine they were puttering with. I have not ever experienced that type of rudeness at any dentist, ever. However, I would give 5 stars to Hailey the dental assistant who was absolutely lovely and also Caitlyn from Wisconsin who is a hygienist. They should both get 5 stars in my opinion. Sorry, but I can't do a split review ladies."
