"Take the Spruce Railroad Trail to get here (make a left right before the tunnel). Not a hard hike at all. The color of the water is magnificent and is definitely a sight to take in! There were a lot of rowdy visitors boating and jumping into the water when we visited, but hopefully that isn’t always the case. I imagine the water is freezing! We found some solitude a little further down the trail."
"Very easy and rewarding hike with a good view and leads to a nice swimming hole. This hike is on the same trail of the Spruce trail. You continue on the trail and once you see the tunnel you veer left. From their it is a short downhill ( not steep) 2 minute hike. An outhouse near the parking. Parking was overflowing with cars parking on the side). This place is a dead end ( well if you keep going , you end up on a private road.)"
"Great trails and beautiful scenery. Some of the best shoreline will not actually have the most people. The pedestrian bridge area will have the most traffic, but there are other spots that you can visit. The location is a pet friendly and family friendly. You may want to bring a flashlight if you plan on walking through the pedestrian tunnel as it's relatively sizeable and unlit. I would estimate that it is at least a few hundred feet long and curves, so you will not be able to see the light at the end."
"The trail down to Devil's Punchbowl is a fairly easy hike. The trail goes along the edge of Lake Crescent and is beautiful. We were blessed to have a bright, sunny day which helped to accentuate the many shades of blue in the clear water. No one in our party jumped off the bridge into the water but we did enjoy watching the brave souls who did. We continued our hike on a rather rough trail along the river then through the tunnel to return to the trail head. I would not recommend taking the rough trail with small children or folks who have mobility issues."
"This is a gem of a hike. Very peaceful especially in mid April- we had no crowds and there was a soft drizzle coming down. The water was so blue that it took us by surprise. We would’ve jumped in if we’d had wet suits! Definitely recommend this beautiful trail to anyone of any level of fitness looking for amazing views of lake crescent."
