"I took my truck in to get the actuator Tune to the turbo. I asked him if he could do it and he said yes. After he tried doing it. He thought maybe the ECM needs to be reprogrammed. So he sent it off $3000.00 later. When you start the truck it surged. Running terrible. Come to find out after I took it to another mechanic he didn't take the Actuator off to program. I trusted his knowledge on what he was doing. I gave him weeks to fix it right but every time I went in there he acted like I was bugging him. I also had him fix a leaking wheel seal. He fixed it but he never changed the brake pads that were soaked in oil.That's what I get taking it to a guy that has kids working for him. 130.00 hr. If you want a U Tube Mechanic this is your place."

"Took my tow truck to Red's to have the injector cups done. It ran great when taking it there, just had a little leak by. When I finally was told the truck was ready, we went to get it. The truck wouldn't start. We found the starter had been burned up and the battery terminals had been melted from cranking on it so long. We, ourselves, replaced the starter and using eather, was able to get the truck started and it was smoking horribly. Was told, bad injector. Got an injector and had it installed. Still didnt fix the problem. Found out that a valve adjustment had been done. Paid someone else to redo a valve adjustment. It ran better Was then told it was the HP oil pump. Replaced it. Now we are back to injectors. After talking to other people who had Red work on their stuff, I am thinking (I dont know for sure but not a lot of other explanations) that my good injectors and my new one were put into someone elses vehicle. He had at one point talked about doing that for us. So, now I am back to another $1800 in injectors to hope this ends the problem. Like I said, this truck ran great when it went to Red's. It just had a little diesel getting into the oil. I wish I would have taking it to a mechanic that actually knew what he was doing. Do not recommend."
