Reviews of WinCo Foods
"Great selection for great prices. Amazing produce and bulk sections"
"I do appreciate the fact that WinCo is open 24 hours, but I have to say that if you go at night time in the later night hours pretty annoying to try and maneuver through the store. There is a lot of workers stocking shelves with big piles of boxes down the middle of the aisles everywhere and it makes it a bit of an obstacle course to maneuver through it. And they have a forklift that they use when stocking the shelves that is highly obnoxious with a loud beeping noise that it makes when it's going in reverse person who has a sensitivity to loud noises, it makes it very difficult for me to do my shopping. On a better note, I will say they do have a good selection of food and really good prices compared to going to Safeway which is usually the other option for a grocery store around here. Ultimately though I am very grateful that they do stay open 24 hours even though all the other stores do not. I am a person who works nights evening and shops play tonight so I appreciate having the option"
"I prefer and love shopping at WinCo because I know where everything is located in the store. When I go to Fred Meyer or Safeway, it takes me forever to shop because I'm constantly having to search for items. Most of the time the prices are lower at Winco than any other store. Although their prices have escalated quite a bit since before the pandemic. The employees are great at giving assistance if you ask and have always been very nice."
"I usually go to the new Winco in Silverdale and have always had a great experience. I was in the area, so I went to the Bremerton location. Everything went as per usual until I went to check out at the self checkout. There are about 20 self checkout lines. Only one other one of the 20 had a customer checking out, the rest empty. I started scanning my items and a nasty employee came up and rudely told me to pack my items back up and go to a regular checkout where they all had lines of people checking out. She said I had more than 15 items. I replied “are you serious I might have like 18”. She rudely replied “yes, I’m serious. you need to go to a regular checkout” I packed up my already scanned items and walked over and stood in line to check out. On my way out I noticed it is a suggested ‘about 15 items’. The situation may not have frustrated me if there was a long line of people trying to check out at self checkout or if the woman was nicer, or if I wasn’t in a hurry to get my son from school and now had to wait in a line. I was waiting for a punk’d crew to jump out. Unfortunately this was not the case. Just a power tripping self checkout worker."
"This is where I go when I want name brands but not stupidly overpriced. Every time I come here, I make sure to see what meat is on sale and I get great bargains on everything. Don’t forget, you pack your own bags, but that’s okay with me. Only two things I’d suggest looking elsewhere for are the deli pizzas and the cheapest ground beef. The cheapest beef here seems suspiciously fatty and rather hard to cook as well as pretty tasteless. And if you like pizza toppings on sub bread, then sure, enjoy that thing, but it’s not for me. As for the other deli stuff, it’s really dang good and tasty. I come here mainly for the store brand frozen pizza pockets because that’s legit better than name brand. I also come here for potato salad, Mac salad, dry bulk goods, cheap soda, tasty poke bowls, and the lowest prices on name brands I’ve seen in the area. But I swear by the chewiness and the fact that these store brand pizza pockets don’t burst open in the microwave."
