Reviews of Utilikilts
"Some time ago I purchased the basic Kilt, two gargantuan pockets and comfort for days! The fine, fine folks at Utility’s are just incredible. Even though I’ve not been in the store since my purchase, I still remember their hospitality friendliness and wi tell anyone who will listen to, “BUY A UTILIKILT!!”"
"Utilikilts USED to be the best kilts out there! I started wearing them maybe 18 years ago. Over the years I've bought 8 Utilikilts. Wore them until they fell apart (I actually work in my kilts and wear them every day). A couple of ears ago I bought a new one, and was immediately disappointed in the product. Instead of the wonderful and perfect Utility Kilt model, I found myself holding something with a Velcro adjustable waist, just like the cheap kilts, and some weird strings down the back. I tried wearing it, and as expected, the Velcro is awful. No idea who thought of this, but they were apparently on meth. It scratches while you wear it and it collects all the socks in the wash. As for the strings...those things are the worst! If you work in your kilt, expect to snag them on everything!!! Also, the strings were just "dangled" down the inside back of the kilt, so while wearing it, you always got an unpleasant tickle between your cheeks. It's been a few years, as I refused to order another one of these expensive knockoffs of actual Utilikilts, but went to order a couple today, hoping they had come to their sense. Unfortunately I discovered that they are still being run by Temu executives, apparently, who have lost the ability to make a decent kilt. If I want a cheap, Velcro kilt I'll buy a cheap Velcro kilt. But Utilikilts will not get my money unless they go back to the original models that were perfect, and weren't held together with strings and Velcro."
"Fantastic product and phenomenal service. Ordered my next kilt after my last one got too small (or I got too big, lol) after 10+ years."
"I bought my first UK about 15 years ago, and within weeks completely gave up wearing anything else. I currently have 9 in my closet, having given away a few older ones and recently added a new Survival and a classic Mocker off the scratch-n-dent rack. I'm kind of a fan. The store doesn't exist anymore, but the shop abides. We were visiting from Oregon to see a band at the Moore, and my wife called and set up an appointment as a surprise for me. From the outside, it kinda looks like the sort of place where Dennis Hopper gets...uh...interviewed...by Christopher Walken in True Romance. But inside, it's warm and welcoming and feels like you are meeting the friends you didn't know you had. If you're a casual, just browsing and looking for souvenirs as you visit Seattle, go to the website and leave them in peace. If you're a member of the clan, make an appointment, make the pilgrimage, and pay your respects. It's not just about the awesome kilts, but the truly nice people. Franklin the Disabled Dachshund says hi. And my wife says my butt looks amazing in the Survival. So, score."
"Great product that is iconic to Seattle. If you are looking for a trail blazing kilt this place is for you. The staff are very friendly with Natalia leading the team. Highly recommend this place. Love my new kilt."
