""Nirmals" offers a delightful culinary voyage through authentic Indian cuisine. From the gracious hospitality of the owner to the tantalizing flavors of each dish, the experience is exceptional. The hara bhara kebab and chicken angare were delectable appetizers, tantalizing the taste buds with their savory goodness. The Saoji Chicken was a spicy symphony, evoking memories with every bite, while the Pomfret Fry, coated with Malvani masala, delivered a crispy, flavorful punch. For dessert, the recommended chickoo ice cream paired with chocolate cake was a heavenly indulgence. Overall, Nirmals promises an unforgettable dining adventure. "We were here to check this modern Indian dine in restaurant as it is one of the most “hyped” Indian restaurants in Seattle. They offer different Indian state cuisines every two months. This time it was Mumbai/Maharastrian. We had the following dishes: 1. Chole Bhature - Chole was one of the best i ever had but the bhature weren’t puffy/slightly crisp like how you expect your regular bhature to be. They were thick, soft & pillowy. 2. Vegetable kofta curry - loved the koftas but wasn’t a big fan of the gravy. Was only able to taste palak (spinach) but nothing else. It felt a bit bland to my taste buds. 3. Saoji chicken rassa - My first time trying a maharastrian curry so the expectations were high. It was good & just like any other regular chicken curry but wasn’t as exceptional as i expected it to be. 4. Garlic naan - The thickness of the naan wasn’t consistent. Few pieces were perfect and few were too thick which made me feel like i had dough in my hands. They weren’t unappetizing tho. For some reason we weren’t offered the sides along with the entrees. Maybe because we ordered the garlic naan separately? Overall it was a good place. I loved the albience, the way the dishes were presented, their bar, and also the idea of their changing menu. But it wasn’t worth the hype is what i felt. Definitely a good place to get your American friends to try some Indian food tho. Make sure you have a reservation before hand (during the weekends) to avoid not having a table."
"Nirmals is a very good restaurant located in the heart of Seattle. Don’t let the location put you off too much as the ambiance inside the restaurant will change your opinion very quickly! We love the Bharwan Shimla Mirch and the Chikoo ice cream from this place. The warm Gulab Jamun and Kulfi were also very good. They are so tasty that I’ll definitely be back for more! The paneer starter and the pakora platter were also excellent! Overall, the food here is of excellent quality. The only downside is the slow service and the really high food prices for the quantity on the plate!"
"I can safely call Nirmal's a bit overrated. I went with a large group and we had mix feelings. Filter Coffee was too strong while tea was good but they served when it got bit cold. Angare chicken was okay while macchi kolivada was divine. Chicken rasa was interesting and the chicken patiala was superb. Garlic naan was good. We also tried misil pav and it very bad. Definitely not the way you make one. Bottom line Nirmal's doesn't do justice to all cuisine for the price it charges."
"The ambience, food is very good. The kofta curry is really rich and creamy. Would recommend getting the chikoo ice cream and skipping chocolate cake. The biriyani is also very flavorful. The service seemed very distracted. Overall a great place which could’ve been an experience with better service."
