"First time here and we just finished the combo Food For You for two people. It was the perfect amount of food and the brisket and pulled pork were excellent and the sides were a large portion as well. The mac and cheese and the potato salad were excellent. They gave us a complimentary sample of the baked beans and they were top notch. Service was stellar and the atmosphere is great. We couldn't be happier with a first experience in a restaurant!"
"Excellent food. There aren't many choices on this island but luckily they were open midweek in winter. Bahn mi bowl was very good, brisket and pork excellent. Frito pie is enough for an entree and very tasty. Variety of sauces available. Very friendly and quick service. Many beverages available too."
"My husband and I split the combo, picking brisket and pulled pork, with potatoes and elote. For sauces we tried the smoky hot and the tangy. Tangy was my favorite so we took home a bottle as a souvenir. The potato salad was a star, but the elote was just okay. I would probably try the Mac and cheese next time. The pulled pork and brisket were both really good. I usually dislike high stools, but they were actually fairly comfortable. Nice drink selection, I had a topo chico."
"We dined here on a Wednesday- not very busy but also limited seating. It seemed more popular as a takeout spot. Service was really nice and welcoming. The food was all really good, the Mac and cheese is super creamy with good flavor. The brisket was flavorful by itself but the sauce helped make it really yummy. Some drier, chewier pieces that were less delicious. Our only real complaint is that all the food came to us very luke, barely warm. Our kiddos complained that the mac and cheese was even too cold. I think next time we would Order take out to be able to warm It back up at home."
