"If you love sweet and savory waffles, good drinks, a fun and lively atmosphere. Then, definitely check this place out. Sweet as waffles started as a food truck at one of our many brewerys and then grew to a brick and motor location located right on railroad Ave. The owners are very committed to the community and working with other businesses to help promote and advertise. They can often be found up at baker shredding fresh pow when it hits. While here, don't forget to do a ski shot with your friends. It just adds to the atmosphere that they have worked hard to achieve. So if you like sweets, or maybe something savory on a waffle, definitely go check them out."

"Went with my friends for lunch, and I got a Dark Side of the Shroom waffle with some hot sauce. The gluten-free waffle isn’t much more expensive than the regular one, which is awesome (they also let me know that the onions on top were fried and asked if I still wanted them even though they weren’t gluten-free. Very thoughtful!). So good, and the staff was very welcoming and good-natured. Plus, they put a little dinosaur toy on your waffle :) Definitely recommend!"

"This spot is awesome and delicious. We searched brunch spots up in Bellingham for a day trip up here. After a light cafe brunch at another spot, we decided we wanted a round of sweetness. But as we walked in, the very friendly staff surely convinced us we needed a sweet and savory concoction. The pesto cheesy goodness of the Canadian Quesadilla hit the spot and the Cinnamon Swell was reminiscent of the best churro you’ve ever had. My husband’s words, “This is bonkers!” Love the quirky dinosaur and otter vibes throughout. We’ll be back again Bellingham!"

"If you are looking for a legit Waffle House, with some seriously creative and delicious flavors, don’t pass up an opportunity to check out Sweet As Waffles. We happened upon this amazing waffle place and tried the Canadian quesadilla and the house special, after experiencing the unique combination of flavors, regular waffles will never be good enough again. "Don't walk, RUN to this funky find! With an otterlope as a mascot, you know it's going to be fun. In Bellingham again and needed lunch, and went here as I had promised myself on my last visit. Only 14 choices - 9 sweet, 5 savory. I ordered the Morning Glory, took the dinosaur number holder and grabbed a seat. Everything is made to order, so don't be in a hurry; trust me, it's worth the wait. I don't know how they make their waffle batter, but they are lightest, crispiest waffles I've ever had, with just a hint of sweetness. Made a great counterpoint to the salty ham and tangy aioli (y'all really need to bottle and sell it). Curated selection of adult bevvies, and plenty of non-adult options to wash it all down with."
