"So sad to hear that Kuhlman is closing. For several years now whenever I pick up something new it's straight to Kuhlman to have Scott work his magic. He has keen eye, more than one person's fair share of skill and talent, and is always incredibly kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and I will be keeping an eye out to see if he ends up opening a smaller more tailoring specific (less retail oriented) operation here in Seattle. If you are looking for a skilled and trustworthy go-to tailor I recommend you do the same. "Started off great. Liked the tailor and quick measurements. Shop has great stuff and the staff are friendly. Had high expectations. Then the estimated date was delayed- not a problem, things come up, it’s the summertime as well, I didn’t mind waiting another week or so. At first, when I asked about my order, someone emailed me back. Last few emails - no response. No update on when my clothes would be ready. The worst part isn’t even the delay, which if I had a deadline, would obviously have been missed. Worst part is the complete lack of communication from delays to order updates. They told me they would call me when ready; the estimated date comes and passes, and I don’t even get a call to let me know there’s been delays. It’s not a small hassle for me either; I gave them some of my favorite work shirts and I’ve been having to go without them in my wardrobe for over a month (almost 6 weeks) now. What’s the deal? Pretty disappointed. Guess I won’t be coming back :("

"I googled for a tailor involving denim, and this place popped up around the 3rd or 4th website, so I check their website and looked up their address, which happens to be pretty close by to my friends place on 1st and Vine, I go over to bring my jacket over, left it with them for a couple days to wait for a estimate, come back to discuss what can be done and the pricing, which I fully agreed to, and let them do their magic. And magic is what they do best in the tailoring business from what I seen, I will go back for repairs on clothing I will need in whatever future that happens and whatever clothing I have in need of repairs. tl;dr Best denim repair."
