"Very happy with the taste of everything. Baklava soo good."
"Lamb shoulder could have fed all five of us! Was so delicious! Could use more variety of drinks, but everything else was amazing!"
"Best middle eastern food in Washington. Coming from Detroit (full of authentic Arab food) I hold high standards. The baba ghanouj was the best I've had. Perfectly tangy, garlic kick, very savory, and served with fresh pita bread. The iraqi kebabs were juicy and seasoned perfectly, superior to other Washington area kebabs and totally authentic. Plus they gave smoked rice on the side and a very nice salad. The prices, while kind of expensive, are still lower than most Washington restaurants for the same amount of food. Definitely go here, you will not regret it!"
"Serendipity strikes, this was a great discovery for us. We started with baba ghanouj which was fresh and came with hot pita. I ordered kosher, which is an Egyptian dish with rice, chickpeas, lentils, macaroni and frizzled onions. It came with two sauces, I preferred the spicy red sauce but the other sauce was also good. It was a great vegetarian dish. My wife had lamb shank with salad and two types of rice. A new experience was smoked rice (Mandy) which we both agreed wasn't for us; we liked the yellow rice better. The service was excellent and the portions were ample. Prices were reasonable but not cheap. The restaurant combined both Iraqi and Egyptian cuisines, I highly recommend giving it a try."
"If you have not been here yet- you are missing out. Probably the best middle eastern/ Mediterranean spot on the west side. Goodbye mr gyros and shawarma king- this place is the best! We got the chicken shawarma plate- with a side of garlic sauce, an appetizer of regular fries and a Greek salad. Portions were huge and we had enough for another meal. Prices are reasonable for quality and portion side. They have some vegetarian options luckily and lots of fresh sodas/ juice and authentic desserts you dont get elsewhere. The om ali had coconut and was different from what I expected. Excellent crunchy fresh salad and amazing rice flavors. The chicken shawarma was really made with love- last time i tasted these flavors was in the middle east growing up. Lovely lady who seated us and took our order. No wait for a table on a Monday night. Good mysic and well made fresh mint lemonade- i want to come back and try some of their unique iraqi dishes. Only downside is that the second time we were there, the young lady was not able to figure out how to run two cards to split the bill. This is a no- no if going there with friends. Would ask the owners to get this figured out as this is normal for all restaurants."
