1889 Prime Steakhouse

"The staff was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious as well. It's a very intimate environment and while on the higher end of pricing, it is so worth it. The drinks seemed a little strong, but man were they good. I honestly cannot say I've had a better dining experience around here!"

"For my birthday I wanted to try this place. We were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, beautiful location, and wonderful service. A tad pricey but delish. They have an extensive wine list with multiple options of reds and whites along with a mixed drink menu. We both ordered the special which was a marinated flank steak with smashed potatoes, and we added veggies to share. The steak was yummy, and so were the veggies. The potatoes were so so. I wish they had some type of butter garlic drizzle for flavor. We then enjoyed a birthday desert of crembrule, and it was amazing. Our server Mike was friendly, polite, and very helpful when we were placing our oder. Thank you, we will be back."

"I am not sure how this flew under my radar for 6 months but I am incredibly happy to have found 1889 today! Everything I had today was excellent! That includes service and food and drinks. The steak tartare had more onions in it then I want it but I consider this a me problem not a restaurant problem. That is my only note. I ordered many of things off the menu and everything came out top-notch. If you don't want to break the bank just come for happy hour, they have an utterly solid happy hour menu that anyone would be happy to peruse after work. I think a lot of the reviewers of this restaurant have never been to a nice steakhouse before. If you order a steak you will have to add the rest a la carte which is completely normal. This isn't Texas Roadhouse or Outback. 1889 Steakhouse is kind of spendy but again, I consider it well worth it."

"My husband and I visited for our anniversary this past weekend. No doubt, the food and drinks were wonderful. The cocktails were top notch, the appetizer was great, steaks were cooked perfectly, and the crème brûlée was incredible. Where I think 1889 could shine is if their service matched the quality/price point of the food. Overall, our waitress was attentive and friendly! However, we had a reservation, but were seated half an hour after we arrived, as there were not enough tables/diners were staying longer than expected. Thankfully, we were able to wait at the bar. We opted for a high top instead of waiting an extra 10-15 minutes for a regular table, which was not my preference, but it’s alright, I was just wanting to be seated at that point. Also, when I made the reservation through Toast, I was hoping that they would see our note of an anniversary dinner (since it was asked) but I’m not sure if they see that/it was relayed to the server. It’s not a huge deal, just a nice touch when it is noted. I would still go back if I was looking to take family/friends somewhere nice, and I’m hoping the delay was just due to them being so new. Would definitely go and sit at the bar and order there as well."
