Rocket Taco

"Whidbey Island has its charms, but as far as food goes you stick to the basics. Fortunately Rocket Taco opened up a restaurant in Freeland, and it is a pleasant surprise that stands out - an island of flavor in an ocean of basic. To set expectations, it's not a standout compared to Mexican in SoCal, or Texas, or Chicago, but it is above average for the PacNW, and makes a big impression on Whidbey. I would not hesitate to recommend."

"Love this little spot! If you blink you may miss it as it is corner from the shopping center. Gives me Cali vibes but with a more organic feel! Portions are generous and they have GF and Vegan options. I got the sweet potatoe taco deluxe & it was delicious. Highly recommend"

"Delicious tacos in a small but cozy space. The vegetarian ones are fantatsic and full of flavor. The pico de gallo salsa is spot on but the other red one is smoky, more like a bbq sauce. All dishes are fresh and light. Helpful staff."
