"Bartenders are awesome! Don't forget to tip when you can! Wanting to go back for dinner. Overall a great experience and definitely a place to check out."
"This place has been here forever, great atmosphere, staff and DJ. They also have a sushi chef (got the roll and sashimi) for that late night grub! Also had fun playing darts and dancing with my homies. Definitely recommend and great place to chill and relax. Probably full of squids =P"
"Average dive bar, decent service, dance floor pool tables etc… with a secret in the back Full blown sushi bar tucked away in the back. Fish was top notch quality. “Fresh” isn’t exactly the right word to describe sushi, given the history of sushi and knowledge of which, but the veggies were crisp fresh and crunchy, the rice was awesome, nori was spot on, seafood was some of the best I’ve had at a sushi joint. This is a low volume high quality hole in the wall. I am very very very picky about my seafood, as I own/operate a commercial fishing vessel, but this was easily the best I’ve had in the Skagit/whatcom/island county region. The best taku I’ve ever had, uni was awesome, sake, toro, hamachi, spot on. The Wasabi wasnt your average green horseradish paste, Seafood of this quality is extremely rare to find, and this spot has earned a return customer, hands down. Beyond impressed We went in for a cocktail simply because we hadn’t ever been to this place before, and were totally stumped and surprised by what we were served."
"Off The Hook, is an absolute beautiful place to visit. Has a pool table and darts to play with. Not to mention it seemed to have a large variety of food and drinks. However, don’t let the beauty of the place deceive you. My friends and I (4 girls in total) were on a vacation from California staying for a week to visit a friend that recently got married. It was our last night before leaving and we hadn’t been to a bar yet. Each restaurant we had visited throughout the day, would recommend us a bar or attraction. We were definitely feeling a bar that night. Off The Hook was one of the many they’d recommend. So as any tourist we listened and went to the bar. We showed us pretty early 7:30pm or so. As we finished getting ready the anticipation and excitement built. It was our last night together and we wanted to end it well. We finally arrive and as shown in the video the place was super interesting and beautiful. We were satisfied. We immediately notice that we didn’t get greeted by the bartender or any of the staff but instead gave us some dirty looks and immediately asked for our ID’s in a very nasty tone. I get it we look young and definitely look like we’re tourist. We hand over our ID’s and continue to look at the drink menu. I try to spark a conversation with our bartender all while having her hands on her hips and tapping her foot and if she was too busy to help us. Mind you it’s Tuesday and the bar seems a bit dead but we didn’t mind to stay since it was recommended. I ask her what’s the best drink, she points me towards the best drink on the menu and I’m feeling up to having something new, so I order it. As she’s making the drink I ask what kind of vodka she’s adding. She gave me a glare with no answer. Once she’s done making my drink she then rises the bottle of vodka that she added to show me. All throughout the making of the drink she gave nothing but nasty looks as if we were annoying her or a burden to be in the building. She then hands me my drink and I says “That will be 10 dollars. Cash or card.” I wanted to start a tap however it didn’t seem like she gave me option and after her attitude we all definitely didn’t want to stay for too long. I handed her my card and paid. Two more girls needed their order taken. Instead of asking the last two girls what they wanted to drink or eat. She goes on to say “There another bar you girls can go to.” That’s when we all just looked at each other and felt super unwelcome. Didn’t take us long after that to put our drinks down without even finishing them and walk out. We were all shook and upset. We even talked about it in the car as if it was just our imagination or if she was actually that rude. We did end up going to different place to still enjoy the night but definitely will not be returning here. I don’t recommend it unless you’re trying to feel like a burden in that establishment."
"It was dead quiet between 7 and 8 pm. Food was reasonably priced. Chicken pot pie was OK. At least it is different for Pub food. The wood bar is beautiful."
