Reviews of Walmart Supercenter
"If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. I've shopped at this location for years but tonight's "adventure" has struck an all time low that cannot be forgiven. I understand that after a certain time you don't have many cashiers active; I worked in retail years ago so I do speak from experience. When you have more self-checkout lanes to cashiers, why impose an item limit? If it is to curb theft, have your attendants be more attentive than standing around chatting with one another. I don't go shopping for "20 items or less" as that is not economical. On this night I could not personally be in attendance, so my significant other went alone. Being forced to one of the two cashiers open (being a rule following individual), my other had to contend with the subpar bagging of the cashier. There was a backup forming at this cashier, and the cashier proceeded to pack the bags in a quick but sloppy manner. Having experience working point of sale, I understand that the job is to hastily expedite the departure of the current customer to attend to the needs of those that are waiting. With that said, that doesn't mean you disrespect the current customer. What I cannot fathom is how a person, regardless of race/sex/upbringing, could shove as much merchandise into bags without considering the potential physical limitations of the customer to lift them into a shopping cart. We are literally talking about the old saying "10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bag". To top it off, there were more than enough of our reusable bags to distribute the load more evenly but instead the cashier chose to stuff bags full with no sense of organization and not even have the courtesy to get the overloaded bags that they filled into the shopping cart. This is beyond unprofessional, but rather speaks volumes to the character of those that this establishment employs or the traits that are desired by the management team which seems to be poor at best. When hearing of this I immediately called the store and the first two times the phone operators promptly stated "I can't hear you" and hung up after I stated that I wanted to speak with the store manager. Third time I called, the call was on an endless dial machine loop. I called several people to check if it was my phone that had an issue, but everyone heard me crystal clear with every sound and word that was articulated. Suffice to say that if you want to feel disrespected and rushed while trying to shop, then this may be the place for you. You have lost more than one customer and I hope the management/operations team can put get this store back on the right track. One would think being a major shopping hub in a small town/city that the people working would be of a higher caliber of character. Perfect example of corporate decisions negatively impacting the customer experience."
"The store has A LOT of self checkout nowadays but they're not all always open. The secret shoppers I find quite rude and it's incredibly unnerving to have someone directly behind you for the duration of your shopping trip- WHEN YOU'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG. Kinda on the edge of harassment I feel. Their prices at the moment like almost everywhere are steep but that's America nowadays. I do like the fact that they've got great selection and it's a very clean store"
"Do not attempt to purchase firearms from this store. They only have two people that are able to sell firearms and they have to be working the same day and hours. This state makes it hard enough to purchase firearms. This store makes it impossible. They need to stop being a firearms dealer. The outdoor counter never was anyone working or that will answer the phone. They will just roll their eyes if it rings. No one wants to work just pawn the work off on another employee. I understand their job sucks as I have done it before. If you hate it that much find a different job."
"One of the easiest accessible discount stores around. I went there for rain shoes and boots, for the farm was able to score a nice deal on the clearance items. Additionally, we got some of the farm tools, pliers, spanners, and other accessories necessary for tractor maintenance over here too."
"At first was completely fine one of the deli staff was very friendly and I liked her she was nice. After I bought my food I got into the car opened it and saw in my central park Apple snack it was absolutely “drenched” in mold and whatever the hell the black stuff on it is. On the apples was this weird yellow looking stuff. I made a horrible choice and licked it. Tasted awful! I got a refund but I'm still disgusted. I only ate the cheese thinking it was fine but now I feel sick. Gordon Ramsay would cry. I think I may even go cry later if I get more sick."
