"My shrimps in purgatory was comprised of 5 shrimp with a a large smear of tomato sauce on top of an entire bowl of thick unseasoned polenta. Which ironically, while not technically being traditional Shrimp in Purgatory, did live up to the name. The atmosphere looked great as we walked in but then our party was seated next to the kitchen on a bench with a cushion that was falling apart. It was giving run down diner vibes which I’d love to eat at but not with upscale tapas pricing. All of our drinks were great. First time I was able to order a milk clarified punch drink and it was fantastic."
"They have a heated, really cute patio all year long. I really appreciate it as someone who is COVID conscious and disabled. They are always nice about setting up the heater and check on us regularly! I love their non-alcoholic cocktails and their location is super cute right near the lake."
"Wow! Such a tasty breakfast. I had the oyster fry… and the egg, Brussels hash and mushrooms were really delicious. Food arrived fast, hot and well prepared. The restaurant was busy however, service was on point (Victoria was awesome). I was visiting Olympia for a few days and tried this place because of the reviews and location… it’s worth a trip if you’re in town."
"We ordered the muscles Cha Cha, shrimp tacos, smoked oysters, cherry bread pudding, and shrimp in purgatory. The muscles were our favorite! Fantastic flavors. The shrimp tacos were solid and very good. The shrimp in purgatory was Good but lacking in flavor. Maybe a little more spice. Nothing special about the smoked oysters. Okay selection of beers on tap. Ordered a lemon drop and the glass arrived half full. We felt a little gypped with the amount served. Our biggest disappointment was the dessert. The cherry bread pudding did not have a liqueur sauce or any alcohol, plus the whole roasted almonds on the top seemed like an afterthought and did not fit. It was flavorless. We each had maybe a bite or two and left the rest. Very disappointing end to a pretty good meal."
"We had a great brunch today! A friend had dinner there and loved the atmosphere, so we wanted to stop by for brunch first. We loved everything from the service and food to the atmosphere. Before heading there, we tried to find out if they were kid-friendly but couldn’t find much online. I’m unsure about the dinner menu, but the brunch menu had no kids' items. The only thing that my kid agreed to try was the French toast, which was huge so be mindful of that. It would have been nice to have some mini pancakes/waffles for kids. The beignets were fluffy and so delicious! This place is great for date nights. We will definitely go back for date night dinner!"
