Firehouse Subs Mill Plain Crossing

"It was okay but I really don't like being asked for a tip when I'm paying for a meal that I haven't eaten yet. Food is okay but a little overpriced, nothing raving or really special about it. Atmosphere is akin to eating in a cafeteria. There are a few memorabilia on the wall as well as some older pictures. I like the patch board but way too many police patches. I feel they shouldn't be on there with real heroes patches as police do more damage than good and are not as beneficial as the REAL heroes in a firehouse are."

"Sometimes you get exceptional sandwiches and some times your sandwich is warm and cold in the middle. In response to the reply. I tried your link and it sends me in a circle. So here are some details for you. Most times we eat at this location the tables are dirty. I ordered a sandwich one visit and the outside meaning the bread was warm but the middle, the meat was cold. On another occasion I ordered a meat ball sub. I added lettuce and tomatoes to the sub. The employee making my sub put the lettuce on my sub and cooked it. Pretty gross. I had wilted lettuce on my sub. Another time I went in I ordered the sub with pastrami and it was hot all the way thru. Point is there is no consistency. My family likes coming here. But for the price, the food needs to be good. Service is subpar. No one really greats you, except sometimes the employees making sandwiches. When you enter to order the cashiers just stands there looking at you. Not very friendly. Also. My kids play soccer at Harmony and most days we are coming in from a soccer game. I see so many other families coming from soccer while I am in your establishment. My question is why doesn't Firehouse Subs return the support from the community. Wendy's, Chick-fil-a, Sonic, MOD and Menchie's have all come out and given the kids coupons for a free sandwich or ice cream etc. If Firehouse give out small sub coupons to the kids it would draw so much business your way and the community would appreciate the little tokens of kindness."

"Excellent food, served reasonably quickly. While unusual not to hear what I would call normal when I would walk into a firehouse subs location and hear the all too familiar "welcome to firehouse!" chorus from all the employees it seems to be a thing of the past. I haven't heard it at either Vancouver location we have visited to date, and hope it will make it's way back..always made it feel even more inviting and friendly inside. Everything was well cleaned and labeled, drink machine was spotless as well."

"We went to Firehouse sub for a birthday sub. The person that helped us was over-the-top friendly. Very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the history of the franchise. My sandwich was very tasty as was the other sandwich. I would highly recommend this location and will be returning."

"Duane at the counter was amazing. So helpful and friendly. Helped with our options, stopped by our table to see how we liked our choice, cleared our table and even held the door as we left. Not many people like him. Food was really good. Had the steak sub and tasted the Jamaican jerk sub. Both were awesome. Can’t go wrong with either. Plan on returning. Try if you have only driven by."
