DOSALAS latin kitchen + tequila bar

"UPDATED: I want to say thank you so much to Edgar and his management team for taking our review seriously. They reached out to rectify the situation and it was very appreciated. We dined in at Dosalas again last night and had a wonderful evening. The service was great, food was great, and overall a much better experience. Thank you Dosalas team for a great night last night ! This restaurant has SO much potential but unfortunately our experience was extremely poor. To start, our drinks all came out at separate times and it took like 20 minutes. Granted it was a Friday night so very busy but our friend who got a simple vodka martini got her drink last even though the rest of us got complex drinks. Then my boyfriend’s drink had a fly in it so we had to return it for a new one. He still got his second drink before my friend got her vodka martini… The next thing that was alarming was we got our food and right as we were about to start eating we all got splattered with water from seemingly no where. two of us got hit from the back two from the top and there was water splattered all over the window near us. My friend refused to eat her food because we had no idea where it came from. The general manager came to speak with us but wasn’t really able to give us an answer. He said it was probably from the bar but we were seated at least 8 feet from the bar so that didn’t really make sense to us. He tried to handle the situation but it didn’t feel genuine or that he cared of all the issues we had. Unfortunately, the best food item we had were the pork belly skewers. My friend and I both got the salmon and ordered it medium based off the waitresses chef recommendation. The disappointing part is that hers was cooked well done and mine was still rare inside. The food unfortunately was disappointing and not worth the price point in our opinion. The only reason I am giving Dosalas a 2 as opposed to a 1 is our server, Brandi. She was extremely kind and genuine. She apologized for everything and actually made us feel as though our issues and concerns were valid. Thank you Brandi."

"This place is absolutely gorgeous inside, they definitely went above and beyond with the aesthetic. I have to be honest when i post my reviews so that's exactly what i plan on doing. Food was mediocre, not bad by any means but for the high price tag i must say i was expecting MUCH more. The drinks were neat, but very lacking when it came to any actual alcohol. Service was fine, they were prompt to take our drink order but took quite awhile to come back for our food orders. Everything came out separately instead of at once. If you are looking for amazing food i would definitely skip this place and save your money. If you are looking for an aesthetically pleasingly atmosphere with a high price tag attached then this is right up your alley!"

"I really wish I would’ve taken a picture of the steak sandwich. I only took one bite since it wasn’t what I ordered. I can honestly say it is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I really enjoyed the shrimp protein bowl and Malibu carrots. I am already planning another trip down, just to experience the dinner menu and service. Beautiful location inside and out and amazing views. Thank you for the hospitality."

"It usually takes my spouse bugging me to leave a review. But we had a such a good time I had to leave a note. We had the valentines prix fix menu for a special weekend outing. We both ordered the surf and turf as our mains. Ordered medium rare on the steaks. The steaks were massive, quality, 14 oz cuts. And cooked mostly to temp. A little inconsistent on the edges. But over all a darn good steak. I could have used a little more seasoning, but it’s a nit pick. I would highly recommend them. The prawns that accompany them were well grilled. And had a nice char taste. They were massive as well. Very happy with them. For appetizer I had the toast with jam candied bacon. They packed a ton on flavor into those slices of bread. Would recommend as well. Lastly we had the chocolate cake and Marion berry cheesecake as our deserts. Both were delicious. But I think the chocolate hit a little harder and was a little more rich. If I had to pick I would lean toward that desert. We drank the margarita flight with our dinner and my favorites of those 4 was the strawberry. All in all a wonderful meal. Our waitress, Nancy, took great care of us. They got us seated quickly. Ambiance is fun and lively. The view of the Columbia is nice as well. And price wasn’t too bad considering everything you receive. Give this place a shot. I will be back."

"This was one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to. I would give the atmosphere 10 stars of I could. I have mixed feelings about the food. One dish was amazing and one was pretty unimpressive. While the wait staff was polite, I was bothered that our food didn’t all come out at the same time. First one meal, 10 minutes later another meal, probably 15 minutes after that, our side order of bacon. We did get a complimentary dessert to go because of the issue with food timing so it was nice that they tried to make things right. We got the flourless chocolate torte and it was amazing!"
