Reviews of El Sazon
"After the big winter storm of 2024, my apartment complex had El Sazon, come out. I liked watching them prepare our food in front of us, even if it did take some time. I don’t eat out much. I ordered 4 street tacos for $12.00. They were delicious."
"I take my tacos seriously and eat them just about every day all over the greater Portland area. In recent months El Sazon had become my favorite. You can’t go wrong but carnitas and asada are my favs. I wish they didn’t use styrofoam and included turnips, jalepenos and carrots with every order but seems like they run out sometimes. I believe everyone should get every salsa every time but be sure to ask, use the bottle to avoid extra plastic in the landfill. Very friendly couple, consistent quality, no cheap or sketchy ingredients. Stop on your way to Sauvie Island and get a full picnic for the family or just a couple tacos, you’ll be glad you did, tan ricisimo!"
"Best tacos in the state of Oregon. Al Pastor was so good. Tortillas on another level. Amazing service, very friendly. I wish I could eat here every day."
"Food & Drinks - 4 Presentation- 3 Atmosphere- 3.0 (it’s a food truck) Customer service - 4 Value - 5 I work in Linnton, so I order food from here at least 2-3 times a week—and I’m not mad about it. I get disappointed when I order from other Mexican restaurants/food trucks because they don’t meet my expectations. Everything is fairly priced, their protein is well seasoned and you get a piece of protein with every bite up until the last bite. I would recommend this food truck to anyone passing by on HWY 30 or just looking for good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Carne asada burrito with rice on the side—that’s my go-to-order. And it’s only $6.50! You can’t beat that price going somewhere else. Update: Quality is still there; price went up a bit. Still supporting this wonderful food truck. The staff members are great, and hard working. They make quesobirria now for $3.50 each. Best quesobirria I’ve ever eaten; and it comes with a side of consommé and pickled red onions. Definitely worth the try if you’re in the area. Update: 12/6/21 Had to lower my four star to a three star rating. With the new price change…you’d figure the quality would get better, or remain the same. The quality hasn’t been the same these past two months. Asada is chewy—tough to swallow—rice is hard like it’s been frozen overnight, and then microwaved before serving it—lacking lots flavor—and stingy on the sauces. I really hope they see this review. I’ll still support this food truck with high hopes that they’ll improve. Update 10.19.22: dropping a star. This food truck has gone down hills. Carne asada is still grisly, chicken is over cooked—or old bc it’s tough to chew. Great customer service but I’m here for food. Food quality was soooo much better when the owners were around. I haven’t seen her, or her husband in over a year now. Will still continue to support, but not as often."
"Worst Mexican food I've ever had. I communicated how I wanted my food prepared and my requests were not even acknowledged. I ordered a pescado (fish) burrito, lengua (tongue) burrito, and nachos. The burritos were mostly tortilla and rice. Nearly no fish, tongue, beans, or cilantro. The nachos were soggy, and the refried beans, jalapenos were obviously from a can. The sour cream, cheese and tomato was complete trash as well. I asked for the burritos to be toasted on the grill, but this too was completely ignored. Don't waste your time, you're better off getting food from the neighboring 7-eleven next door, no joke."
