"Can't thank Travis enough for his help today making it possible for us to finish up a very special wagon. The wagon had been modified so it needed new hardware, as well as some being lost. Not only did he find the hardware we needed so that we could be on time for the delivery at Embrace Compassion Farm(farm for children fighting cancer) he took it upon himself to pay for it and wouldn't take our payment..he said it was going for a good cause. Thank you Travis I hope your employer knows what a treasure you are. We got the wagon there, and it went immediately into use."

"When I specifically ask the hardware associate to not waste a plastic bag on the ONE 85 cent part I'm buying and they force my hand and pull off a bag and write the price on it despite my protests it feels like a violation. How can you ask someone at a place of business to not do something and they force themselves on you anyway? It's so infuriating. Not to mention wasteful. Management needs to get a clue and provide a way for customers to buy a small hardware item and not involve a plastic bag. When I self-help back in hardware I take pictures of prices and write them in my phone. It's up to a customer to not steal or give the wrong price at the register, this insistence of wasteful bagging doesn't prevent a thief from stealing and it doesn't help an honest customer who is trying to not be wasteful"

"A lady just screamed at me from across the sales counter as I walked in and demanded me to put my bag behind the counter. I understand preventing theft, but that was uncalled for. How about cameras and/or paying attention to who is shopping instead of expecting me to trust this loud rude lady to protect my belongings. At least she could have come up to me and asked me in a regular volume voice instead of screaming it from 25 feet away. I said no thanks and walked out. I work in retail management and would never treat someone like that or tolerate it for even a second. I will also never implement this policy, it’s demeaning to your customers right at the door. Who would leave their bag with people they don’t know? It’s a lazy theft prevention tactic when done right, it’s horrendous customer service when done like this. My positive notes- Good selection of stuff here, and the older gentlemen ALWAYS has a good answer for me. For his sake and the sake of the other helpful staff I’ve experienced, I won’t give a one star. I’ve purchased almost everything I’ve needed from here for 2 years and never got attacked like that, and I’ve brought my bag in with me many times, since that’s how I like to carry things (imagine that). The prices are a little higher but it beats funding the big box."
