Reviews of Westside Pizza
"I wouldn't support this business until further notice! -Witmessed driver eating one of wings as delivery approached... Yuck! Unpaid Tips/no transparency: I know 3 previous /current employees there have mentioned they don't receive all earned tips. -All front counter tips ONLY go to the (very rude) manager at night and he doesn't split them with the team members... -Only $2 per delivery is given to the drivers yet they charge $6 delivery fee! (Drivers often go home with $2-$6 in tips EACH night-which doesn't even cover the gas that was used).. For extended deliveries (longer commutes) they charge $8 fee but STILL only pay the driver $2, often a deficit each night or break even at best with the gas money spent to deliver). *They do NOT provide a way to track online/phone order tips that go on paychecks and they are taxed! Several staff quiting because the checks are much shorter than expected. -Employees noticing huge discrepancies in earned tips added to paychecks, check is short, and many believe that management/owner are keeping some of the gratuity). Zero transparency on that topic, and limited explanation given when inquired about. -Management is extremely rude to it's employees (I've witnessed team members asking how to make a dish and the manager would yell (in broken English-making it difficult to understand), yet REFUSES to show the proper steps. Often ignores questions or requests for help/training. will wait for a mistake to be made as an EXCUSE to belittle/embarrass staff... -He's Very condescending to employees (and even more so to women) ------------------------------------------------------------ Optimism: ***I think they will do well with new management and maybe even be able to keep employees longer than a few of weeks. (Also, more clarity around tips or even new policies around pay would likely help as well. No one likes to feel cheated, and the pay is already minimum wage)! ***As far as the pizza - I will admit they have decent pizza and toppings that other places don't offer which is the only decent thing I can say."
"Best pizza in town is the Death By Pizza. Full of toppings and always perfectly cooked. The cheese goes on top of the pizza and gives a lovely texture, it also keeps all the toppings in place!"
"Our pizza was over 40 late and we had to ask for a refund. This place has sent mailer ads so we decided to try them out on a day that my wife was recovering from multiple dental surgeries as a nice treat on a rough day. Scheduled a delivery for 630pm at 5pm. Call #1 at 645pm: called to check in and they said it was "about to go out." Call #2 at 715pm: The manager argued with the worker answering the phone and they couldn't complete the delivery. We had to request a refund. I assume they delivered to the wrong address (but the person on the phone was able to confirm our address on the order was correct). Zero chance we'll bother ordering from this place again. Brewery City delivers fast and effectively tho!"
"First time eating here. New place to our area. It was a Cauliflower crust, and it was really tasty. They don't offer discounts for 1st time customers. But we did use their 20% off coupon. They said it would arrive in 30 minutes, to our surprise it arrived in 25 minutes! Very hot. Definitely will go agian."
