2nd Chance Thrift Shop

"I have been shopping and donating here weekly for the last couple of years. This last week I had a run in with executive director lady. She was extremely rude, this place has extremely limited parking. And I parked in a area that is not utilized on the days I visit as I have done many times in the past without any problem. She happened to be coming from her car as I got out. Instead og just getting my attention and politely asking me to park somewhere else, she barks at me "that's not a parking spot" repeated multiple times. It was in the tone of an old man yelling at kids to "get off my grass" needless to say it will be my last time visiting this store. I will add the rest of the staff and volunteers have always been great through the years."

"Was extremely disappointed. Drive from Bellingham to enjoy a day in Stanwood and brought my 4 kids into this store at 3:50 on a Saturday to enjoy some fun thrifting. Immediately after walking in we were quickly approached by a lady who rudely and somewhat aggressively order us to leave the store claiming they are closed. I reminded her they closed at 4 and she said we are closed you all need to leave now! I said it’s not 4pm for another 10 minutes but she claimed they go by the clock on the wall which was set 20 min fast! Not only was she unbelievably rude to us, but two elderly women who had a full cart waiting to check out at the counter were told they couldn’t even buy the goods they had!!! It was the craziest, absolute WORST service I have ever witnessed. Everyone in the store left totally shocked by her behavior. Hopefully she doesn’t have a job there long. I even told her as we left, that she was being very unprofessional and we’d be leaving a review, and she yelled “I don’t care, go ahead.” Probably not the right kind of employee you want working for your business. Or anywhere. It was horrible and very unacceptable."

"Fortunately, this place is nothing like Goodwill or Value Village, who take free items and sell that at retail so that people with limited means cannot afford anything at all, not even thrift. It's truly sad. This stores prices are usually great and what you'd expect to see at a thrift store, precovid/Biden. Thank you for helping the community in many ways. My nice items will always be donated here first."

"AWESOME helpers. Got a great deal on a Geek Pro camera because it was missing a couple pieces It works!! The buildings were accessible and signage was excellent! They had quite a variety of clothing, children's sections, purses, crystal GALORE! Electronic devices, gardening tools, records, a few pictures, very few, and only one piece of pottery. The amount of crystal and glassware was top notch though. A restroom for customers! VERY IMPORTANT! MOST PLACES DON'T HAVE THEM AVAILABLE ANYMORE! It's a sham! The last place I worked HAD them and they were working. It was just less man hours for staff to have to clean them so they were shut down. I don't like stores like that. Anyway, this thrift store has a bathroom to use. I didn't have a lot of time to look so I missed a lot, but I posted pictures. Take care and please give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed reading.
